People of the world (or the 4 who still read this blog)-
Since it has almost been an entire year since the last post on the not so bloggerish blog I thought it important to attempt a new post.
While beloved friends of ours continue to travel and have more children we continue to stay home content with just us three. We are loving it! We are moving into a new year with a bit of excitement and fear. Life drastically changes this year and when we approach this blog in another year from now many things will be different. For now it remains as it has with school and work and callings consuming our lives. We enjoyed the holidays but we are seriously looking to make this a year of new change and celebrate life.
New Years resolutions are divine. They bring the spirit of change. Even wanting to change is great, but actually changing for the good is empowering. New years is a spirit of looking inside ourselves and realizing that we can be better. This feeling sweeps the earth at this time of year. May you catch the contagious renewal of life!
Here's to your fantastic journey in the new year!

Well who would have thought that moving in would be so time consuming?
Wow!!! I cannot believe that my last post was back around move in time. Slacker is a word that comes to mind. You might suspect that I have not hooked up our computer til now and while this may be false I will let you think so if it is your will.
I have decided that life getting busy is no longer an excuse for me as I see that life is busy for most all I know and associate with. In fact, any time I hear the words "life is just so crazy or busy" I have little tendency to think that they are saying something extraordinary has occurred in their life, but rather normalcy is dormant. Therefore my conclusions are that normalcy cannot be a valid excuse for inaction.
In any case it is good to post again and hopefully you all (whoever "you all" may be) will forgive the gap in postings. We are alive and well and enjoying the new home. The area is lovely and our neighbors are fantastic. We are extremely excited for the Spring to come where we can fully enjoy the outdoor transformations and new beginnings. Life is so worth living and we feel so blessed to be who we are and where we are.
Can we just say that we love all of our friends! Tiffany and I have great families that do a lot of superbly special things with us, but our friends make our lives that much more rich and fun. Endless activities whether planned or unplanned create a fantastic opportunity for growth and enjoyment. You all rock!
Finally, I leave you with my current consuming thought, life is truly what you make it. The great Creator and Author of our lives put us here to be in training. What are we creating here in this life? What are we authoring here in this life? Life subjects itself to what we make of it because that is the way life was designed for us. Enjoy your creating!

THE DAY OF MOVING FINALLY ARRIVED!!!
How sweet it feels to be in our new home. We are so excited and ready to face the challenges and thrills of being homeowners. The place is great and we are almost finished unpacking. The back yard was put in last week and should be ready for action in a few weeks. We still have lots to do and look forward to having friends and family over for good times. Thanks to all you who helped me move and/or made the move possible. Talk to you soon.

Time to move on and move in-
We close on our new home tomorrow morning!!!!!! The long and often arduous series of events leading to this moment are finally coming to their end. What excitement we feel tonight as we know it is all done and ready to go. You might be noticing a slight enthusiasm in my writing. Well that enthusiasm is a serious understatement to how excited we really are. The scrolls mention that you need real hard times to really experience the real good times and that is true for this process. The long stress of it all has really created a catapult of excitement at the end.
Life continues to go on for now. Still school, still work, still day to day stresses, but at least we are in our own place now to endure it well- wahoo!!

Another Month
What a month it has been! Sure it was not as exhilarating as last month, but hey, who cares. We crowned a new root beer champion over the lucky green holiday(no, not earth day). The new summer BBQ root beer shall be Henry Weinhardt's smooth original.
I also took the scouts on a camp out to look out pass. It was awesome. We had a good time burning pallets of wood for a fire and playing around. It was pretty chilly, but definitely the best weekend in March with highs in the high 50's. We took the vehicles on a little four wheeling trip which we called the "scenic route." It was crazy fun! We will probably go camping one last time before we move.
Moving. That is on the tip of our tongues and the brink of our thoughts at all times. We are beyond excited and hope it all works out well. It is not an easy process to buy a home. Others have told us this, but only now are we realizing the dynamic of their correctness. Our close date is still set for mid-May. So next time we post it may just be in the new home!!!

The month of craziness!
Well hallelujah that February is finally at death's doorstep. Between three birthdays, valentines day, frantically finally deciding to buy a home (which requires endless paperwork), planning and making dinner for 100 people at a wedding, work upping my hours, and several mid terms and papers - I am done with this month. Not that it hasn't been a blast. It will just be nice to breathe again. In fact, for the first time in a long time, on Thursday I will have no work, no homework, and no nothing. Ah... how wonderful it will be to see my wife and son. :-)
As you might have noted in the previous paragraph my wife and I have decided to take the deep plunge into real estate. We have decided on a town home and feel it is a good time to buy while the market is at a severe low. Of course we know selling is not an option, at least for many years, so we found a place that has a central location, has three bedrooms, is new (no needing fix-ups), and comfortable for us. We are super excited to move in, as living in both our parents homes has worn out its welcome. We look forward to many new adventures ahead and school continuing to draw closer and closer to its end for me. Later.
