Change of hands
Look who we found! Last week daddy and Jannae left us and we were super sad. We had a fun day... Well actually we had a fun day planned but have had a little set back. On Wednesday they were to fly out Doug room savannah to therapy and there was a pop n snap so they went n got X-rays.
X-ray looked fine supposedly and so they were sent on their merry way😁. We have been nursing a sore and swollen and ouchy knee for a week now. It's not getting better.
Overall lengthening has been going well, we were expected to get 65mm when we came in January but then when we got here it was changed to 60 somehow and now we are back 65... So we have 2 more weeks of lengthening left.
Last time we saw the PA, he said that her bone growth was too fast so he put us on Motrin (which inhibits bone growth). Then when we saw the doctor it had significantly slowed down and he was all why are you taking Motrin?!? Stop now! John, PA, totally threw me under the bus. Awesome.
Anyway. I digress. We spent the day doing that and then we went to a friends in Fort Lauderdale for a few hours and rushed Doug and Jannae to the airport. Waited around at the chikfila that was sure fun with a cripple, a baby, and two very energetic children otherwise!
We had a lot of help from the manager walking out to the car and Scarlett screamed a lot while we were there because she was tired and hungry and tired and she wanted me to lose my ever loving mind.... Though I don't know why she was trying so hard bc I lost my damn mind a long time ago.
Anyway. We saw went back to the airport and grandpa was a sight for my sore eyes! It was good to see a "piece of home." It's been really fun to have him and we are running him ragged. He will need a vacation when he gets home ;).

Orlando temple
After a one hour detour from our hotel to the backwoods of Florida and Orlando, we finally found the temple and figured it was 15 minutes from out hotel on the same street! Thanks toll roads that broke the bank, failed GPS, and cranky children!!!
It was a beautiful gorgeous day at 95 degrees with 99% humidity... Awesome. Welcome to Florida folks!

Couple years ago (ok a lot of years ago), we decided to visit as many temples with the girls as possible. We have visited many but not all!

Love our little savannah smiles. She always smiles and poses the same ;) bless her little heart!!!

Love this one. My two favorite people.

These girls sure keep us busy and on our toes but they are the most special little people I know. Each night I spend time with them (ideally).... Savannah gets a back run after her exercises. She's a little chatterbox asking me question after question. She's pretty funny.

Mikenna asks for a story every night. It's actually the worst thing she could ask for because I have the WORST memory known to man and she always wants me to tell her a story of when I was little or she was little.... And 365 days of memories is darn near impossible.... Oh and they have to be for reals. I can't make them up!!!

This little honey is my favorite baby in the whole world. She loves to be held and snuggle though she is very particular about how she wants to be held. She moves my hair and has to have her "mimi" (blanket) funny she got that on her own but my niece also calls her that! I keep forgetting she is almost 20 months because she is so little. She waves and gives kisses blows kisses says mama and dada and ow. Poor honey she has some teeth coming in.

Missy Isabella is a piece of sunshine in a dark night. That girl goes all day and sleeps hard at night. She is a chatterbox and always has something to say. When she gets older she will tell te story to her kids that I always told her to "shut her mouth".... Poor girl. (I know mother of the year!!!) she loves to sing and dance and play with friends. She has loved this summer because she gets to play with her sisters all day and that's the best day for her. She idolizes mikenna and thinks savannah is pretty great.

I can't believe these girls are going to be 12 and 10. Does that mean I am getting old? Maybe... But I don't feel old.

We have had so much fun with Jannae this summer. We have our days good and bad together but through it all she has been such a big help to me. We are grateful she left her family friends and others to be a part of ours. The girls idolize her and think she is pretty great... And they are right. I couldn't pick a better person for my girls to look up to, she constantly amazes me. Thanks for being a part of our family this summer!

Our little family is mostly complete. We have out hands full with our four little girls. I know that Daxton is up there watching over us and rooting for us and he's there when we need an angel to watch us and protect us. Just wish we could see him in our little family picture here. Someday.... Just not today.

Love these little honeys.

911 emergency
Scarlett loves to play with light switches. For some reason turning on and turning off lights repeatedly is her new guilty pleasure. Recently Doug was holding her and she was indulging herself and before we knew what was happening, the alarm to the security system was blaring.

Entering the password and turning it off was our highest priority. The girls were enjoying a morning of coloring and worksheets. We joked and laughed about how terrible it would be if the fire department really did show up....

About 5 minutes later, we looked out the window and sure enough there was a large fire truck parked outside our door. We though well that's a coincidence....
No actually it wasn't. Turns out they were here for us! There were about 4 Irene's at our door and gratefully no fire for them to put out. The girls kept coming to the door to see what the commotion was and one of the firemen said, "whoa, how many you got in there?"....

Um, just four? (But you will be interested to know that I REALLY have FIVE!!! GASP!!!!!!)
As we visited with these very nice firemen, I couldn't help but wonder how nice they were.... Extra nice!!!! Then I got to thinking that somebody has to lay for them to come out, hmmm I wonder who THAT is?!?! UM ME!!!!! We looked up online how much it would cost us. $150. But there are two "free" false alarm/house calls a year.... So hopefully here wasn't another happy little family loving in our condo earlier this year that ruined it for us.

Turns out that the security people called the house line (well we unplugged THAT the first day we were here, so no such luck on that one!) and then they called Doug's cell (which somehow managed to be out if his hands) and since they received no answer they showed up at our door, only to find us all happy healthy and well NOT burning in a fire....
And THANK GOODNESS!!!!!

So to make a long story longer, the nice firemen invited us for a field trip ANYTIME we wanted (UM DONT THEY KNOW CHILDREN=ELEPHANTS?!?!) So of course over the next week I was bombarded with "mom when are we going to go to the fire station?" Every other hour, until a final day was confirmed.
Making good on our plans, I took the girls to the fire department (showing up like a desperate housewife with my LL) and we enjoyed an hour tour of the truck, inside and out, and the station, inside and out. It will come as no surprise that we were most interested in what they were cooking for dinner and where they slept ;)... But the 100" flat screen, 7 recliners, and weight room were of interest as well. Lol! I know they work hard when they work, but I'd sure like a recliner on MY NIGHT SHIFT!!! Shoulda been a firefighter ;)

Overall an enjoyable time and a fun memory. Actually the best part was the ride IN the fire truck. Isabella and mikenna were in the front seat and I was in the back with savannah.... Lights flashing, sirens blaring, and horn honking and Isabella turns to Mikenna and says, "Well THIS IS BORING" um ya... Hard to please my four year old?!?!
