We had our family pictures taken a few days ago and they turned out wonderful!! Our good friend Jenny Wilson was so nice to take them for us. She has a few posted on her blog, so if you want to see a sneak preview, then follow the link "Regan & Jenny" under Blogger Friends. She seriously did such a good job, I am really excited about them. Let me know what you think!! And if you are interested in her taking your pictures....I can give you her contact info! Too bad for all of our New York friends though...she lives in Utah!

One Cute Picture!
So I am still totally frustrated with the internet situation, but what do you do right? Anyway, right now I am up in Orem at my sister's house and we found a cute picture of her little girl River and Maia playing "kitchen." My sister had a baby last week so we all came up to see the new little arrival and River and Maia had so much fun playing together. We took lots of pictures with my little brother's camera, but then didn't get them uploaded on my sister's computer.....so this was the only one we could find that was cute of the two of them that she had on her computer. It is so fun to watch them play together! One of the days we could hear them in River's room laughing their heads off....first we'd hear a "thumping" noise then laughing and laughing. We thought we better go check out what the thump was...we went and peeked and found Maia banging her head against the wall and saying "bonk" and then both of them cracking up laughing afterwards.....crazy girls!! Here they are playing so well together....
Like I said earlier, I am up in Orem right now at my sister's house. My mom and I decided to leave everyone behind and just the two of us come up to help my sister out a little bit. It has been fun and a good little break from Maia. I talked to David this morning and asked him if Maia missed me...he said she sometimes asks for me in the morning, but that's about it!! SAD!! I thought she'd be DEVASTATED and practically NON-FUNCTIONAL without me around....actually I thought David would be too, but not so, they are holding up pretty well together!
Okay I guess that's all the excitement for now...I will still try to get pictures up later!

Yes, We're Still Alive!!
Hello all of our friends!!! I'm sure by now you have probably stopped checking our blog, seeing how it's been WEEKS since I've been able to post anything! We have been busy with family and friends and have been having a really good time. I won't be able to add any pictures to this post because my parent's internet is SOOOOO slow and David's parents internet isn't working right now...but hopefully soon I'll be able to get some up.
We have already had lots of adventures since being here....Maia's first trip to the ER-- we thought her leg was broken, but thankfully it wasn't. Her knee was hyper-extended pretty good and it took her over a week to get back to walking on it normally, poor girl! You all know how much she loves to RUN to it was hard for her to be kept down! Anyway, we've also been able to go on the river, hang out with friends and just relax a little bit while all of the aunts, uncles, grandparents and cousins entertain Maia....it is so wonderful!
I guess that's the quick update....I'll try to get pictures up soon! Hope you are all doing well.

Leaving....
So this is going to be my last post from Buffalo for a little while. Tomorrow we are headed back to Utah to visit family and friends. I am excited to see everyone, but sad to miss so much of the fun Buffalo summers. There is so much to do here when the weather is warm, and once you've been through one winter here, you know to make the most of the warm days!! And we do! We spend as much time outside as we can. I will try to update my blog while I'm in Utah, but don't get your hopes up! Anyway, here are a few pictures from our latest adventures....
A couple of days ago, we took a trip up to Crystal Beach with a group of our dental friends. I love this beach!! You really feel like you are at the ocean...especially on the day we went because it was kind of windy, so the water really had little waves like the ocean! It was so much fun....except for one part....neither David nor I put sunscreen on....so you know what the result was.....a HORRIFIC sunburn. My thighs have seriously NEVER been so burned in my life. It is a painful lesson well learned!
I had to put these first couple of pictures on because I thought it was so cute. Maia was being really quiet one so I went to check on her...this is what I found....I guess she's going to be a runner like her Mama. (sidenote--do you like my fancy new running shoes? I LOVE them!)Maia had a blast with David in the water. They played and played in it and I got to lay out on the beach (hence the sunburn). But it was very fun and relaxing for me--a girl can't ask for much more right?
David buried Maia in the sand...she thought it was pretty fun!
The guys thought they'd try skimboarding with some homemade boards....they weren't too successful....except for Bron who is pretty much a professional.
In my last post, I promised some pictures of our beautiful garden, so here are a couple. This is only half of it. We have another part on our back fence that is in a big grow box that David made for us. It is so exciting having a garden! I'm worried that I'm going to miss a lot of the good food while I am away!
Look at how great these peas are!!
That brings us to today--July 4th--Happy Independence Day, by the way! We had a very busy, but very fun day. It started off with a big breakfast at the Shaheen's...Lots of yummy food and good company!Maia and one of her new-found friends...there have been lots of FIRST year (I like to say that because we are no longer the new ones!) dental students moving in and it has been fun to meet them all! Anyway, this is Maia looking cute in her 4th of July outfit and Porter, a son of one of the new families.
Rachel and Megan...they worked so hard in the kitchen to make all of the delicious food for the breakfast! Thanks you two, it was so wonderful!
After breakfast, David and I came home and started getting stuff ready for our big trip tomorrow. Then later that afternoon, we went to 2 different BBQ's. The first was at our neighbor's, the Tanner's house. Here is Maia and their little girl playing in the Jeep.
Then after that BBQ, we went over to our friends the Cardon's house for more food and fun. Here is somewhat of a group shot...
The boys playing KanJam and some ladder game...
And my favorite picture....Maia and LB sharing a kiss! So CUTE!
I guess that sums it up! To all of our friends in Buffalo--we will miss you soooo much! Don't have too much fun without us! And to our friends and family in Utah...can't wait to see you!
