SUPRISE!

So last Thursday Derek told me he had a little surprise for me. I didn't think much of it because he likes to do this no matter if he has a candy bar waiting behind his back or if it's something huge. He likes to keep me hanging until I just can't stand it any more and I actually end up getting mad because he just likes to get under my skin. So i just laughed it off this time and said whatever Derek! But he kept on bringing it up and yes I did end up getting mad! So he left a note on our bed that said have your bags packed and be ready to go by 1:00 p.m. tomorrow, and have the boys bags packed as well. I absolutely HATE this! Derek on the other hand lives for it because he loves to see me get so worked up! I immediately start asking a billion questions.... Where are we going? How long are we going? Are we taking the kids or leaving them? He wouldn't answer any questions he just said the boys were staying at his parents house. So I packed 4 different outfits for myself because I had no idea where I was headed too! We dropped the boys off at his parents house and then we started driving!!!! Well, we ended up in Jackson Hole! Derek took me to the Bar J Wranglers on Friday night and then he got us this cute little cabin and we stayed the night there. On Saturday we slept in as long as we possibly could and enjoyed a Saturday morning with out kids in our bed jumping all over us! Then we went and walked around Jackson, had some lunch, and then we headed back to get our little monsters! :) It was SO MUCH fun, and a much needed break! I have the best husband ever!

We slept in so long that I didn't get a chance to put my makeup on before we had to check out of our cabin at 11:00!!

We took these pics for our boys, they are really lame! But, I didn't take many pictures!

Time to update again!

SO MUCH has happened since I blogged last! I just keep waiting to get over the next big thing so I can catch up the blog all at once, but I'm at an over load! On July 20th Me and my boys went to Alaska to stay with my cousin and her family! We had a BLAST! Kannon and Karter thought it was so cool because my cousin has a few little airplanes and they would take us flying and they thought it was the best thing ever! They also loved all of the fishing we did and all of the wild life that we saw! Kannon was having with drawls from not having a bike so he decided that he would ride Taya's bike who is 6 years old. Well she doesn't have training wheels any more and Kannon does because he is only 3! He just couldn't watch them ride their bikes any longer so he jumped on and away he went!!!! He is now riding his bike everywhere with out training wheels!

A big mile stone that Karter was forced to make was loosing his pacifier! I kept it just for this trip because I went to Alaska with my boys all by myself and then Derek came about a week later and we all stayed for a week. I was VERY nervous to fly by myself and I was going to make sure Karter had a way to be plugged! They did awesome both on the way there and on the way back. We were EXTREMELY happy to have dad with us on the way home! Two days after we got home we took Karter's passey away. He has done ok but there are times when I wish he still had it. :)

We had our family pictures taken and I think they turned out really cute! I could post so many of them but due to time I'll just post a few.

There are so many cute ones of the boys but I HATE uploading pictures so I will stop there. I am going to really miss summer just because I will miss seeing these little boys dressed like this.........

Who's kid is this anyway??

Derek's sister recently gave Kannon a sack of costumes that her little boy Crew grew out of. It was full of probably 20 costumes or more some of them are, Buzz Light Year, Power Rangers, the Incredibles, Spiderman, and many many more! Kannon thought this was the BEST thing ever!! He got one on and WOULD NOT take it off! He went all over Rexburg in it and of course it's the day we see every person we have ever known! Luckily after 3 days of this weather we have been having he decided they were a little to hot for now!! But, the cowboy boots and shorts on the other hand are not to to bad to wear in the high temps so he has decided that's what he's going to wear until it cools off a bit! It's quite fun to hear people's comments and see the looks on their faces when they see Buzz Light Year walking around in the middle of the summer! Thanks Britney for all the costumes!!!!!! I hope I can return the favor one day! :)

We had a fun and busy 4th of July! On Friday Kannon, Karter and I went on a 4-wheeler ride with my family. (the pic above is of Kannon on the ride, he had to wear his snake skin boots in case he saw a rattle snake.) We had a lot of fun but felt bad that Derek had to work and couldn't come with us!

Saturday morning we woke up and did the parade. We were in the parade again this year and the boys LOVED throwing candy and otter pops to all of the people. After the parade we all came home and took a nap. We headed down to Idaho Falls to have some dinner and watch the fireworks with our friends.

Poor Karter was not feeling good so he just sat on our laps most of the night and didn't do much.

As always Derek had all the little kids flocked around them. He was blowing up balloons while we were waiting for the fireworks to start.

It might be time to update??

I don't think that I can possibly update all that we have done since Thanksgiving when I posted last but i will briefly try! In January Karter turned 1 and started walking!!

A few days after Karters Birthday (Jan. 14th) Derek and I went on a cruise with his family to the Virgin Islands! We had so much fun and it was absolutely BEAUTIFUL! It was the first time away from my boys and I missed them!

In February Kannon had a Birthday and turned 3!! I made him a lovely dinosaur egg pinata for his Birthday and he thought it was the best thing ever!!

I cant remember anything exciting happening in March or April but I'm sure something did! In May we went to bear world for Mothers Day! The boys thought it was the coolest thing that we have ever done! They loved the bears, the petting zoo, and all of the rides!

For Memorial day weekend we went up to Derek's families cabin in Island Park and just hung out and fished of course! Last year I took a pic on the same bridge as I did this year so that I can see how much my boys grow each year.

This year (2010) I know what you are thinking,.......what a tradition to start!

Things are very busy, and we are all doing very well. I am hoping for some nice weather to head our way but aren't we all! Hopefully I can keep up on our blog!
