Vacation Time

So we had a great three day weekend. We went to the beach, I did some snorkling in the ocean (with a wetsuit, the water is still in the 60s). We went to the pool and took a few naps. It was nice. I went to Williamsburg VA yesterday for a work meeting and then stopped by the outlet mall on the way back home. Anna and I are playing putt putt golf tonight (she is still a little too young for hockey like her sisters). All in all, a good week.

Another day at the office...

So this past week I had a conference in Roanoke Virginia for work. Well, on the way there, I "happened" to go by one of my favorite trout streams, the Smith River. I spent about 3 hours fishing and caught 13 trout. It was really nice. here are a few photos. It was so nice to be in the stream, with the water around my legs, all alone. I lost three nice size trout.... I am glad nobody was around because I was yelling at the trout after they got off. They did not hear me.....Here are a few photos.

Birthday Time

So, today is my birthday. I am going to take Friday off, play some hockey, and have a party with Chris, the girls, and Mom and Dad on Sat.

I am very thankful for the Lord. For how he has shown me more about Him and taught me to love Him more. And so, for me, it is a bit odd, because every day with Christ is good day. Not that I will not take the cake, presents, and all the things that come with a birthday :) But, I am just thankful that I have Him. Thanks Lord for my birthday, and for such a wonderful wife, children, parents and friends to celebrate it with. Dean

And so it begins...

And so it begins. I got the girls their first hockey equipment so they can start going to sticks and pucks with daddy. They are all really excited and it should be a lot of fun. Now if I can just keep them out of the penalty box.....

Wind Wind Wind..and more Wind

So it has been windy here for the past 3 days. The wind has been gusting up to 40 mph, but that is not the hard part. It is the CONSTANT blowing. So much so that when you open the door you are hit with a hard wall of wind, and it does not let up. I keep hoping when I get up that the wind will die down. But no such luck......
