Family for the Fourth (July 2013)

We were THRILLED to have some of Deb's family with us in Clear Lake for the Fourth of July holiday.

Baxter stayed up late to watch the fireworks...but didn't quite make it to the finale.

A Perfect Summer Evening (June 2013)

We spent a perfect summer evening at Lake Minnetonka with Katy and Ralph.  People watching, picnic, ice cream, live music and a new little buddy.

Adventures at "my lake house" (June 2013)

Here's just a few photos of the many adventures enjoyed in Clear Lake this past June.

Being goofy with Mom.
Sipping cool drinks lakeside.
Finding "treasures"!
Waking up neighbors with Grandpa's duck calls.
Swimming with the KOCH tube.
Visit to the Clear Lake Fire Museum.
Baxter had to dress in uniform for this outing.
Visit from our friends Ashley and Xander...what fun!

Maybe a little TOO MUCH fun...ZZZzzz

"Me Help?" (June 2013)

Baxter loves to help with projects.  Once back at the Outing Club, Fritz and Baxter were hard at work.

"Me Help?"

Building a screened in porch.
Landscaping
When Dad's projects slowed down, he even offered to help the neighbors.
After seeing an episode of Curious George where George helped with the plumbing, Baxter got his tool box and went straight to work around the cottage to make sure everything was working correctly.

Fun in Minnesota with Aunt Katy (May 2013)

Before returning to Clear Lake, IA...Baxter and I enjoyed a week of adventures with The Campbells in Edina, Minnesota.

Family trip to the aquarium at the Mall of America.  What a place!!!
Memorial Day parade in Excelsior.
Later Mom let Baxter play in the lake, but then still made him ride his bike home.  Had to stop one block later as the chaffing set in.  Luckily, Mom came prepared with extra (dry and sand-free) clothes.  Bax was a happy man again!
Paint your own face (watch out!) at the Children's Museum.
Baxter LOVED the manufacturing plant in the Children's Museum.  He wore a hard hat and enjoyed directing other children.  A born leader...or just bossy?! HaHa
And ALSO at the Children's Museum, he liked being the mailman for the town.
He would go to each store front and deliver/pick up the mail.  How cool!

Mother's Day Hike (May 2013)

I celebrated Mother's Day by hiking behind Rock Lake with my wonderful family. (And yes...it was May, and that is snow you're seeing.)

Junior Firefighters (May 2013)

Baxter and Miller enjoyed story time at the Boulder Rural fire station, and then a special 'behind the scenes' tour.  What a thrill!

Later that month, Fritz took Baxter to the Boulder County Fire Training Center where he often works.
When I grow up, I want to be like Daddy.
