February was a lot of fun. Yana, Zaidi, Izam and myself drove 45mins away from our city Manama to visit the desert part of Bahrain. When Zaidi and Izam left Yana and me alone to drive around Sitra while they both went for their site meeting, Yana and me got lost a whole lot of times! Besides bumming with the hommies, I've with been out shopping a whole lot with my Labenese beauty, Nagham. Last Thurday, we went to Geant where I got some gifts for my friends in Singapore. Dearest baby sis, Amee turns 6 this 2nd of March, and I'm sad I cannot be there. However, I have sent her a gift and a card which she has already opened way before her birthday. Abz is coming to visit in March; something I am truly looking forward to. We're still trying to get him a better price for the flight ticket. I'm still enjoying my life here in Beautiful Bahrain. Not planning to come home yet. :) Tomorrow night, I'm meeting my 2 Labenese girl friends for dinner & shisha. Can't wait! and finally im here

How long has it been? ;) I never thought I would ever blog again, but seeing how much life has offered me, I thought why not pen those memories down? As most already know, I am in beautiful Bahrain, and have been here for the past 3 months. I got offered a great job here which has enlightened and changed me in many ways. Firstly, living in a conservative side of the world has been a wonderful experience. Somehow, it has taught me to be a much more patient person & it has taught me to be thankful for the little I have. Today, I went down to Camilles for my favourite chicken ceaser salad, and met Miswadi for a chat. I was glad I finally got my bottle of mineral water from the cold store since there were no more water at home since yesterday. Bahrain's tap water are not meant for drinking, since it's pure sea water, and when I filled up the bath tub with the tap water, the water's actually sea green. lol. So anyhoo, my plan waas to head down to City Center for the Zara sale, but seeing how much I have left in my bank account, I changed my mind instantly. It's Valentine's Day and I'm pretty sad to be spending it without the boyfie. I got him a little something and a card and will be sending it out tomorrow. I bought my little sister a dress, a book and a card for her birthday on the 2nd of March as well. I miss home dearly, but like I told most of friends, there's a huge part of me that do not wana go back to Singapore for good. I cannot wait to come home on December for my one-month break, however, I would love to stay in the middle east for good. We'll see how things go. I have plans to work in the UK after my 2-years in Bahrain, but I will have to see if I will stick to the plan later on. Cheeros and Happy Valentine's Day to all! |
