Happy Mother's Day!

Good Morning everyone, and Happy Mother's Day!
Just wanted to update you on the What am I challenge.
So far, the three comments that have been left are correct, there is a rainbow in the picture, but of course, that's not what the main focus is of the cross stitch.
Here is another sneak peek!
S0, can you tell What I am?
Go here and read all about the challenge, and leave an answer.

By the way, you can either tell me exactly what it is or describe what you may think will be in the X-stitch.

What are you doing for your Mom this Mother's Day?

What am I?

Okay, So here's the deal, it's been 2 or 3 months since I posted here, bad, bad, bad. My New years resolution quickly went out the window. Not only have I not posted, but, I haven't stitched anything, until today. That's right, I've seem to have gotten my MOJO back, yahhh. Of course, what I'm stitching isn't any of the two pieces that I showed you, it's something totally different. I still plan to work on The Flowers of Life in between what I'm working on now!

I would like to try something different with this new piece that I'm working on. I won't show you what it's supposed to be, I'm only showing you a little of what I've accomplished so far. I won't show you the piece again until I'm finished it. I want you to guess what I'm stitching, you'll have 2 months to guess, so until June 4, 2011 and on the 5th I'll post the winner! All you have to do is leave a comment on this post with your guess. The person who guesses correctly will win this stitching kit.

If more than one person gets it right, than I'll have to get my daughter to pick a name from a hat, or use Random.org if I can figure it out. When leaving your guess in the comment section please remember to also leave your e-mail address so I can contact you!

Good luck everyone, let's get this challenge started!!

African Woman or The Flowers of Life?

I believe I've lost my MOJO, with the kids back in school, this week has been very busy and I haven't been motivated. I've let life consume me, and haven't had any time to craft but I'm about to change all that. I've narrowed down my choice of cross stitch to 2, one is a stamped stitch - that only means that the image is stamped onto the fabric - that is for my parents. I'm not sure if it will be for their Anniversary in September or for Grandparents day. Here is what I've gotten done so far. Inside of the lattice, I'll put the names of all their grand kids. As you can see, I don't have much done, believe it or not, I find the stamped cross stitch challenging.

The 2nd project is something I've been working on for awhile, I'm constantly putting it down for other smaller projects, that have to get done. I would actually like to finish this one, it's not for anyone special, it's just for me to hang in the house. This is all I've gotten done, I just love the bright colors of this cross stitch.
So, which one will it be? I have to work on The Flowers of Life for my parents first, of course. Well that was easy!!
I'll see you all sometime next week, until then, have a great and blessed week!!

Happy New Year!!

My one and only New Years resolution is to work on my blogging for this site, from the time I started this blog in April of 2010, I've only made 5 entrees, and hadn't done any cross Stitching all year, I hope to change all of that.

I would like to post at the least once a week, just to show you how much I've progressed. There won't be any new projects as yet, only because I have so many on the go already that I need to finish some before moving on. So, that means, the first time you see a project I'm working on, it will be a WIP (Work In Progress).

Of course I haven't decided what piece I'll be starting with, I'll have to sort that out between Sunday and Tuesday. I have about 4 pieces on the go right now, and would like to do them in order of priority with a few small new projects thrown in there.

Well, I'm off, and wishing everyone a Blessed and Prosperous 2011!!

Wedding Anniversary!

Over at my other blog, here, I posted a scrapbook album I did for my parents 43rd wedding anniversary, as a slide show. So, I thought I'd post the cross stitch that I did for their 38th anniversary here. This in fact was the first cross stitch my parents ever received from me and now they have 2 more, the mother's and Father's day stitches. They both love all the projects, as they have them displayed on the wall.

Dad and Mom!!

June , Wow!! 6 months into the year and I haven't started any new cross stitch projects, unbelievable, mind you, I've really taken to this card making craft and haven't done much of anything else for a good while. I do have a few WIP (Work In Progress) projects I need to finish up, and some new ones I have to start.

Since Father's day just passed I decided to post a cross stitch that I did for my Dad.

and here is one I did for Mother's day!

Hope you like and thanks for looking.
