a PURPLE day in a PURPLE waywhy the title? 'cos i wore purple today.
yea, purple shirt, purple SB, purple shoooooes.
FRY rocks!
anw, today was a BUSY day.
had breakfast with shuwie and zhang wen.
at Redhill Market.
ate the deeelicious carrot cake(it wld hv been better w/o spring onions tho)!
there are a few carrot cake stalls..
muz order frm the stall nearest to the MRT station.
i tink it's the BEST.
headed to crez for the AAD.
wasn't as big an event as i imagined it to be.
or maybe i was juz too busy talkin to pple that i didn't notice the stuff happenin.
chatted with sassy sam-in-the-black-cloak, cute chrysilla-with-her-cute-butt, huggin-crazy stephanie wong shu en and a few other girls.
and of cos to my other dear teachers!
miss ang, mr j. tan, miss azlin, mrs goh, miss s. goh.
sheeeeesh.
i reallly miss all of them lots!
:(
wish i cld go back often.
den it was farewell to wen. :'(
one of my dearest friends.
tho we lost contact for abt 2 years,
somehow, we cld still communicate like before.
like nothing much has changed.
perhaps i've changed a bit, but wen is stil the same.
the same quirky laughter, the same messiness, the same pouty lips.
and i realised that almost all my close friends are gg abroad or ARE abroad.
christine momo, wen, silly chix, maddie.
ugh.
ANYWAY, i made a new friend on the street today!!
(maddie, i know u're gonna say "muz be one of the aunties or lao ah-peks AGAIN.")
BUT... IT'S NOT OK!
He is..............................
a 25-yr old Indian!
-frm NTU EEE
-graduated with 2nd Upper honours
-working as a regional tech consultant(i.e. he travels a lot)
-in an American MNC!(i can't rem which one tho)
-gives maths, phy, engine tuition cos he loves teaching
so how did i meet him?
by FATE!
of cos la.
this was how it started...
me in my PURPLE outfit was looking very friendly in the No. 96 bus.
Him: Hi, are you a student from NUS?
Me: yea..
Him: oh that's great! i need to find my way arnd to the library.
Me: Central Library?
Him: nono... the one with the chinese name...
Me: oh.. Hon Sui Sen Memorial Library. It's near Biz School.
Him: so how can i get there? does this bus go all the way there?
Me: nope. u hv to change at this place. -i point at the bus-stop outside the central library on the map in my NUSSU diary- i'll be going there. i can show u the way. :)
Him: oh ok, thanks. btw, you're a freshie is it? you look very fresh.
(btw, this was wat he REALLY said k. it sounds lame, but he said it very honestly, so i don't think it was meant to be a lame joke.)
Me: yea, i'm in yr 1 biz.
...........
and then we chatted abt wat he was doing in NUS.
okie, some of u reading till here muz be bored, but you MUST read on!!

damaging the stuff inside the hole.
and my hp batt is almost dead.
i'm so sad.
i still wanna go for WOMAD.
and i miss all my friends.
i can't sleep!
and i've got MNO lecture in another 7 hours.

I MISS DENISE SARA BRYAN AND MADDIE KORISHITAAAAAAAAAA!oooohh.... my stomach feeeeels so gooooood!
went for dinner with maddie's parents, bro, grandma, aunt and silly chix at Raffles Town Club...
and all that cheena food was so deeeeeeelicious!
we had peking duck(CHINA!), some prawn thing which tastes real good!(i'll upload the photo soon..), huang gua soup, lobster noodles and desssert,
while watching SINGAPORE IDOL...
actually i think it's quite a disappointment man...
the performance that is.
that goodlooking indian guy can't sing.
and some cld sing well, but they didn't sing songs which suit their voices.
wat a pity.
i lurve olinda's VOICE!
so sexy, and deep, and mature.
hope she gets in.
and i miss ying.
i miss irritating the sh*t out of the president of PRINCE Yuki Club.
i miss pestering her to watch horror movies..
so that she'll be so frightened that she can't sleep properly at night. (heh.)
den she can accompany the currently-an-insomniac-me late at night.
and ying owes me TWO photos!
I DON'T CARE. I don't hv any photos of u in my digi cam!
and I WANT THEM IN MY DIGI CAM.
ok. i need to rush those over-dued tutorials man.
i can't believe i slacked for 2 whole days w/o touching my tutorials.
i miss Confucius!

AIESEC! AIESEC! AIESEC! OEI! OEI! OEI!to all u pple 19 yrs and above, a pity if u hvn't heard of AIESEC.
it's one of the most beneficial CCAs in uni.
yep, so i shall help all u poor souls demystify wat AIESEC stands for and wat it's all abt, before i start my rants and raves of the 26 hr AIESEC camp i juz left with so much memories...
AIESEC(pronounced eye-zag): "Association Internationale des Etudiants en Sciences Economiques et Commerciales"
"The world's largest student organisation, AIESEC is a global network of 50,000 members across more than 83 countries and territories at more than 800 universities world-wide.
AIESEC facilitates international exchange of thousands of students and recent graduates each year. Whether in a paid traineeship or as a volunteer for a non-profit organisation, their experiences abroad will undoubtedly affect them forever.
Behind everything we do is our mission: to contribute to the development of our countries and their people with an overriding commitment to international understanding and co-operation. "
went for the camp filled with the least of expectations, as i thought it's juz a 2 day camp(actually it's not even 2 days. it's frm 12 on sat to 2 on sun), so juz went for it hoping to make new friends and to gossip and chat more with gracey wacie.
well well, the camp was not as sian as i thought it was!
AIESECers work really hard and party really hard maN!
examples?
work really hard:
1. the goodie bags we got were really heavy. there were like 20 over items inside(canned Horlicks, cough drops, CD cover, pen, lots and lots and lots of sachets of iced-greentea etc.)
i.e. they muz hv spent a lot of time preparing the goodie bags.
they muz hv spent a lot of time doing all the cold calling juz to get so many sponsors.
2. there were powerpoint presentations for almost every briefing or talk. was very surprised that they managed to come up with a ppt abt the camp with lots of photos taken during the camp with cute, funny captions.
3. the stories abt wat the seniors did during the Asia-Pacific and International meetings showed that they really hv a lot of energy.
imagine: for 7 days straight, u attend talks and seminars from 9am to abt 7pm, party the night away till 3, 4am, and wake up the next morning to do the same thing again.
party really hard:
this, i'm really shocked.
every single 5 or 10 min break that we have, regardless of whether it's 9am in the morning, or 10pm at night, AIESECers will be dancing.
yep, to ALL sorts of music. tagalog/indonesian hip-hop music, english pop music, bhangra!, etc..
the amt of energy they have is seriously boundless.
perhaps, i'm really aging.
whenever i see them dancing, i'll be like,
"wth?! they're dancing again??!!! i'm like so freakin tired, i juz want to rot in the sofa and watch these crazy pple shake their butts and hands."
and we hv this game called sculling.
sculling is juz speed drinking beer.
the grp which finishes up the beer in the cups the fastest wins.
and of cos i didn't take part.
unless i wanna risk looking like a red monkey.
yes, i'm allergic to alcohol.
so if i were to drink, i'll get rashes.
then i'll start scratching my body all over.
which is so 'un-glam' as miss random wld say.
unfortunately, or fortunately, my grp PHILLIPINES!! didn't win.. :(
then it was dancing time. again.
but this was pure dancing.
and of cos the old aging me had ZERO energy left to shake my bootie, so we(the wild thang', miss random and i) decided to check in early into the land of dreams.
that brings me to the topic of my multi-nationality grp, PHILLIPINES!!
there were Malaysians, Vietnamese, an Indian, a French and a guy frm Finland.
and of cos the Singaporeans!! :)
hmm... kinda sad that i didn't really get to know those pple frm the other ctries.
stuck with the S'poreans most of the time.. :P
like the wild thang' Mas, and miss random gracey wacie!
haha. :D
gosh.. we could like talk and crap anywhere, anytime.
in the toilet, outside the toilet, during the briefings, perfomances etc.
even when we were abt to sleep... chatted like frm 1+am to 3+am..
and disturbed the poor Vietnamese girl, Duong(pronounced as zoo-ong), who was trying to catch as much sleep as she could.
so glad to hv them in the camp! :D
sigh.
still deciding whether i shld be a full-time AIESECer.
i wanna learn lindy hop and taekwondo too.
but the amt of experience i can gain in AIESEC is juz far too much more than wat i can gain in the above 2 activities.
and if i go lindy-ing, i hv miss random and fiora.
and i stil hv to decide whether i wanna take up the ad hoc job at the Biz Sch's career service centre.
and also the Enhancement programme.
but studies stil come first. how?
I REALLY DISLIKE HAVING SO MANY CHOICES!
gracey wacie! i'm so fan2! :(
oh, 1 interesting fact i found out abt AIESEC international meetings.
if it was held in US and more liberated countries, they actually give condoms in the goodie bag.
hmm. it wld really be a culture shock for me.
aight. time to prepare for tutorials next week. :(
i hvn't read the Analects, nor the Tao Te Ching, nor the readings for any of my core modules.
i'm gonna get through this! i muz fulfil my dream to go to Tsing Hua.

I'm so bored, i'm eating hair.attended the 2nd Chinese Tradition class today.
and it was partially useful and partially a waste of time.
gosh. that Lo guy actually spent 30 mins, using his lousy american accented english, reasoning with us on why he doesn't believe in giving notes to us and that wanting notes before a lecture is juz a psyche that we shld try to adopt hving.
yea, so i'm in this weird lecture, with a weird lecturer who thinks abt stuff weirdly.
and he punctuates every sentence with a smile.
so it's like:
"I think giving out notes restricts you all from going beyond what you can read. :)"
"You should always refer to primary texts, :) before referring to secondary texts, if you really want to understand the true meaning of what Confucius said. :)"
"The notion of the Universe to the Chinese, :) is different from that of the West. :)"
which i find very disturbing.
it's not a nice smile kind of smile. it's a sarcastic scary smile.
smiling is not that a good thing after all.
dang. so i'm like attending lectures w/o knowing wat the heck the lecturer is gonna go thru that day.
den i went for the China SEP talk at 2.
and it was really quite informative.
brought back memories of my trip to China.
all i gotta do now, in order to go to Tsing Hua University(the no.1 uni out of 1000+ unis in China), is to get an average CAP of 4.0.
Beijing, I'll be back!

ade: she's you-know-who. you know her. yes, my dear ade.. u r forever sweeeeeeeet. :D if u are ever rich or feel rich, call me k! i really wanna go WOMAD!!judy mei mei: dear mei mei... school's started for me le. so i must practise wat i preach to u all. which is to study hard. yep, so i'm trying to study hard now. :) when i go back, i'll msg u guys la... but u all muz tell me when u guys are free too..
miss random: u muz jia you too! and pls dun be so hardworking. u're stressing me out too..
izz: u swell-headed? that would be quite a sight. haha.. juz kidding la. anw, u do deserve that compliment... ur class pple are super talented in art. maybe u can consider setting up an online company specialising in designing websites. it's good money $$$$! seriously.
sya: YOUR izzati? so selfish... tsk.
ayesha: yea, hvn't seen u in a long time too.. take care!
laysh: YES!!!!!! I TOTALLY AGREE WITH YOU! it's so damn weird to write in english for chinese stuff.. like u gotta translate all your thoughts about chinese stuff in english. and no, i don't really like it here in nus. :( i stil prefer ntu. all the nice pple over there! there's u, ying, yong, yali and other nice nice pple in ntu!!!
yixin: yes, I WANT MONEY $$$! haha.. juz kidding la. take ur time to collect. when u collect le, juz msg me or tag the board here. :)
aisyah: yesh! twista's awesome man!
ade: i always look good. :) nah, only in this pic. the real person..... it's horror man.
eileen: nah, i don't think rebecca can be as crazy and chatty as the TWO of u.. at the most, she'll only be a mild version. oh yea, and i got a senior who wants to join SYO.
sya: anw, i'm outta NTU already. :(
sarahh: many reasons why u didn't see me.
1. u are blind.
2. u were busy looking at other stuff.
3. u were busy looking out for ms goon 'cos there was something wrong with ur attire.
4. i blend into the surroundings.
5. u were busy looking out for ms chia 'cos there was something wrong with ur attire.

I'm gonna marry a synchronised diver!of cos i'm kidding.
was watching synchronised diving mens' and womens' just now for 2 whole hours.
i can't believe all that rush of excitement i felt whenever it was China's turn.
they were really brilliant!!
especially the womens' team.
Lao Lishi and Li Ting, one's 16, the other 17, with an OLYMPIC gold medal to their name.
wat was i doing when i was 16-17?
busy working out my A Maths, Maths D formulae and juz aiming to get a good 'O' Level cert.
looking at their achievements make me feel so pathetic.
but of cos they wld hv put in so much more time and effort than pathetic ol' me before they could reach such standards.
i can't even do a proper somersault on land. lest a somersault in AIR.
these freaks do THREE AND A HALF somersaults in AIR!
anw, i'm so into the Olympics mood.
definitely gonna catch watever events i can the next few days.
aight, gotta get ready for school.
yea, pathetic ol' me has lecutres frm 4-6 PM on tuesdays.
so i'm free to idle my time away frm 9 when i wake up till 3pm when i get ready for sch.
but of cos this is only for this week.
can't imagine my life when tutorials starts.
i'm already so drained juz balloting for tutorials.
BALLOTING AND BIDDING FOR TUTORIALS AND MODULES ARE DISGUSTING!

Blog Vomit Modeso i'm on blog vomit mode now..
and i can't stop blogging till i'm tired.
anw, juz wanna say that today was a rather great day for me.
started off with the FREE NUSSU Diary i got frm Science Fac.
(yea, u can call me cheap-skate for all i care, but it's got EVERYTHING inside.
most imptly, they hv the NUS map to keep me frm getting lost.)
walked arnd more with Miss Random den i headed off to attend the Chinese Tradition class.
yep, i've decided to take that as my Breadth module for this sem.
Nope, it's not in Chinese. It's in English!
was expecting like less than 100 pple to attend such a lecture.
but there were like 200+ pple!
and according to the lecturer, there were almost 400 pple attending it last yr..
i was really wondering if there were as many crazy pple as me.
but yea, there ARE really many crazy pple like me arnd.
so anw, lecture started late as ALL NUS lectures do.
it was conducted by this guy called Dr. Lo/Long/Low.
i hv no idea wat his surname was as he spoke with a an American accent.
and he spoke so slowly, i nearly died listening to him.
he r e a l l y s p o k e s o v e r y s l o w l y...............
but the topics he brought up were so very interesting!
at least to me. :)
he talked abt the topography of China and its relation to the culture of China;
the language of China and its relation to China's culture etc.
and also a basic intro to the birth of Chinese words.
all the Chai-nah(as maddie wld say) stuff which i LURVE!
yay...!
as all, or rather most, of my friends aren't interested in China and Chinese culture, ( i hv no idea why)
so i went alone.
and glad i am, that i went alone.
cos i made a friend!
called Rachel.
Rachel's abt 3 yrs older than me even tho she's a freshie.
she's a poly grad, worked 2 yrs, and now she's back in sch, in uni to be particular.
and she's nice.
so we're gonna work together for our assignment.
which is gonna be abt analysing texts.
almost like lit.
eg. analysing quotes by Kong Zi
quite excited abt this assignment, 'cos i'm really interested to learn abt kong zi, sun zi, and watever zi. :))
and uni is all abt making friends.
u make friends everyday, anywhere, anytime.
and making friends make me happy.
so i'm very happy today.
ok. enough of my nonsense. it's 1.43am, and i gotta wake up in 5 hrs time, so that i can have breakfast with the women in my family.

FINALLY, i'm not disadvantaged in balloting for tutorials.
-phew-
everyday of the past 7 days, the thought of my unconfirmed modules made me so depressed.
and that i wld not be able to plan my tutorials as well made me feel even worse.
and i'm really so glad i hv grace arnd.
she's been the one getting me arnd sch and all, asking me to go for all sorts of 'random' talks as she wld call them. esp thot the pizza party was a really useful seminar.
Thank you Miss Random! :)

CATCH-UP-WITH-OLD-FRIENDS WEEKa recap on this week...
yesterday(sat)
went to the SWS Perc Ensemble concert at Ulu Pandan with the Crez Perc juniors..
gossiped so much. heh.
LYNN TANG & ARIEL.
SEXY & DOM DOM.
haha.
Tama Goh is my Drumset Idol.
his Zildjian drumset is so cccuutteee!
it's like so small and adorable, but the sound that comes out from it is really
WHOA!
but of cos it muz be matched with the skills of a pro like Mr Tama.
sigh. i hvn't even mastered double stroke yet.
anw, yulin and eileen are juz these 2 really chatty and crazy pple.
gosh. i wonder how rebecca tolerates them. haha.
but hving them arnd really livens up a dull spirit.
rebecca reminds me of iris-jie and that i shld email her soon!
feel so bad for not emailing her for so long. :(
miss chatting with her.
oh, FISH HEAD CURRY AT BLK 10 HOLLAND DR IS REALLY GOOD!
the fish is so fresh, and the curry so tasty!
and it makes my double chin so fatty! :((((((
and then it was hexic the whole night again.
HEXIC IS BAD!
1. it causes insomnia. (and i even dreamt of playing hexic during the hours of sleep i had.)
2. u will lose touch with ur friends.
3. it's ADDICTIVE.
friday
2 hours of Sakae Sushi with the table-tennis girls n mrs koh.
yummy!ate lots of soft-shell crab and fried tofu.. my 2 loves of jap food! :D
u guys MUST try the RUM RAISIN and GREEN TEA ice cream k..it's so creamy and sinful!talked q a bit with peihan.
that girl is one-heck-of-reckless person.
so full of nonsense. tsk.
then went down to GWC to return my McCafe uniform..
miss working there so much!oh, and i tried the new Himalayan Tea Frappe.
it's 'BLEH'!
tastes like milk tea with wood powder.
ewww. if u like the smell of cinammon and wood, go try it.
if not, DON't!
caught up with news abt pple in McCafe..
sigh.. most of it kinda sad..
but i'm so happy for SUE, my darling!
she's most prob gonna get married next year!
her bf treats her q well and he's good-looking. heh.
thurs
went back to crescent to pass miss goh the HK stuff and settle 3c1's CME grades.
had such a good time chatting with phyllis, miss goh and miss azlin.
ugh.. i miss all of them!!
was late to meet my dearest Zhang Wen!!
hvn't seen her in years!!!!!
so glad that we cld stil talk like before even though we lost contact with each other for so long...
and she's still so funny..
oh yea, and we had sushi! in Edo Sushi at cine.
the sushi buffet is rather cheap..
$15 per pax.(inclusive of GST and service charge)
u get 1 plate of sashimi, 1 serving of chawanmushi and freeeeee flow of sushi on the belt.
BUT, there's no handroll, no softshell crab sushi, and no fried tofu!
so Sakae's stil my no. 1 jap restaurant.
wed
went to NUS to settle all the transfer matters in the morning, then it was to auntie lian's house for some chatting and makan session.
MADDIE: ur mum is so cute k. she seems to be able to sleep at anytime of the day... even when i was talking to her in her bedroom. haha.. reminds me of the story u told me abt ur grandma and u. hahahaha... and i swear i will get fat if i go to ur hse everyday. she has all that wonderful health food(which in NOT healthy!) and luscious chocs.. such a pity she doesn't bake.
okie, i gotta get a life and pack my filthy room.
