i'm scared!!ok.. my heart is still beating fast from watching 2 episodes of "Lost".
aight, some of u might be wondering wat's so scary about Lost...
but when u watch episode 9, u'll know why.
SPOILERS AHEAD!
'cos it's when Sayid finds the French lady who sent that distress signal.
and honestly, i think she looks quite insane.
16 years w/o anyone living with u on the island?
i think i would hv gone crazy too.
and so the scary part is when she tortures Sayid.
with the electric shocks...
and when they show the scars inflicted on Nadia (Sayid's crush).
which made me wonder...
if that was wat really happened to those prisoners of war.
do they really have to do that? or did they even do that alr?
drill a hole through the palms of a lady?
pour acid on her chest?
slice the skin off the soles of her feet?
where's the humanity in people?
it suddenly felt like i was brought back to WW2,
Hitler's era.
upon seeing those scenes where she was telling Sayid abt the torture she went thru,
i nearly teared.
i really cannot imagine how anyone can survive through such torture.
perhaps i was just brought up in too good an environment,
but it just makes me feel so uncomfortable and sad that perhaps...
somewhere out there in Iraq,
someone, some lady, is being tortured, hurt.
very badly.
actually there's not much point in me talking abt this.
'cos i know that there's nothing much i can do.
'cept be grateful for the surroundings that i am brought up in.
we just all have different fates, different destinies.
and i know that soon,
i'll forget about this episode,
join that race in getting my degree,
getting my ass kicked around in the working world,
finding that ideal job which i may never get,
and so life goes on.

ur darling thomas... he's a few cm taller than alexis already! so fast lor! and according to his mum, thomas is 14kg, while alexis is 12kg.. that eating machine is incredible.

not a very clear pic of alexis... but as u know, alexis is always deep in thoughts.. not as action as ur darling thomas. anyway, they were watching sesame street!! it was damn funny! haha.. all the monsters were dancing everywhere, then suddenly 1 of the monster said it's nap time, and then they all fell to the floor and slept. erm, the they doesn't include thomas and alexis. i meant all the other monsters.

bored, i was.caught star wars on my damn packed-with-activities saturday with my family.
sleepy, i was.
excited, i was not.
i was zonked out after like the first 20 mins of the show 'cos there was just too much talking, and i was just too tired.
and the movie is kinda weird too. not much common sense i would say.
how can the jedi masters not know about the r/ship between amidala and anakin??
helloo!! they have a house, and they even conceived a set of twins!
a bit ridiculous i must say.
or maybe, due to my ignorance of wat happened in the prev. episodes.
that's beside the point.
and so i had a good time with worm and auntie lai at chinatown K-Box from 12-3.
belting out those ballads and poppy tunes...
周杰伦, 陶喆, 吴克群, F.I.R, 戴佩妮, 王力宏 and so many more la.
surprisingly, we didn't sing any A*Mei songs...
her songs used to be on the "Must Sing!" list of songs for KTV-ing.
sadly, there are just too many songs that we wanna sing in 3 short hours!
oh! and it was really quite cheap!
each of us paid abt $7 (inclusive of all the GST, service charges and what-nots),
and we got a chicken pie(Delifrance leh.), a drink(with lots of ice in it), and a good 3 hrs of singing. not bad not bad at all!
sorry to them, 'cos i had to rush off to catch that much-talked-about STAR WARS.
which, may i add, was really boring to non-Star Wars fans.
okay, the only nice thing i wld say, wld be the computer-generated effects.
other than that, i think it's quite a gruesome and not very interesting movie.
some of the jedi knights IN MY OPINION, look rather hideous and scary.
i mean, aren't they supposed to be good people?
but I think they really do look kinda evil...
the good-lookers would only be anakin and amidala.
but anakin turned evil in the end, so he didn't look as good already.
and then there was the gathering with the house reps!
quite a successful meet up i wld say... :)
was never really close to any of the house reps...
but they're just such a nice bunch of pple to hang out with.
girls looking prettier by the day, guys looking more macho and 'man'.
happy for those who are doing well now, for those who are not doing so well,
there's still the future to look forward to!
okay, and now i gotta run off to try out my FIRST kick-boxing class with gracie wacie! yippers!

just... feeling it all.amidst all that warmth and humidity,
amidst all that beads of sweat forming on our skin,
amidst all that noise from the zooming of the vehicles,
amidst all that myriad of colours emitted from the lights adorning the signboards,
i enjoyed every moment where i was..
in Chinatown. :)
'twas supposed to be a good evening out at The Arts House admiring the photographs taken by those final year students i can't rem from where.
but it was quite disappointing...
there was just abt 20-30 photos on display?
and not much other exhibits...
but the dinosaur designs exhibits was fun. :)
loved all that variety of colours...
could feel the vibrancy and energy from the designers through their creations.
did feel like snapping a few pics of it,
but that security guard was eyeing our backs all the time.
loved the whole interior design of The Arts House.
especially loved all the furniture they had displayed everywhere...
that porcelain stool, the wooden benches, that weird looking couch at the end of the corridor...
and so we had nothing else to look at, hence we proceeded to Chinatown(which was after much deliberation) for dinner.
for some good (and expensive) prawn noodles, and she satisfied her craving for char kway teow.
the highlight of the dinner would be the desserts we had at 二姑's in Smith St Hawker Centre.
loved every bit of that 白果腐竹, and she had 杏仁湖.
and i don't know why, but we just stayed on there...
to chat abt our childhoods and families.
very seemingly different, but we did share certain similarities behaviour-wise.
actually i've always wanted to have a taste of joining all those competitions and stuff...
but the matriarch was never keen on the hassle of it all.
aight, i'm still happy to how i've turned out to be, despite all that i've gone through in the past.
yep.. i should move on in life and REMEMBER to learn from my mistakes.
i know u'll be reading this, so..
thanks for all the encouragement last night.
like u said, the good thing that came out of getting a B for MNO,
was meeting such a nice bunch of group members.
and i'm especially grateful to have met u.
