The Meet-UpsYesterday was funday with Wen at her place.
where I discovered the muffin store I've been wanting to go,
since i found out abt it from aromacookery.com,
and where we (or rather I) had a good time laughing at funny photos and this huge pink unicorn she had on her bed.
and it was when she did that funny pose of how a unicorn looks like,
when I realised that I'm surrounded by really weird friends.
the rainy goodbye kinda dampened moods a little.
cos i probably won't get to see her till a year's time.
but I've got your moisturiser and green umbrella for keeps to remind me of u. =)
i really should get a camera phone. SOON.
Today's Spend-Your-Money Day with Meiying-jie at Bugis.
came across some tees which i saw in Beijing sold for S$8 at some stores.
it's always fun to shop with her.
cos u can suan her non-stop,
and she's cool abt it.
gonna miss them all.

THE roommy table and floors now can be seen!
and that really is cause for celebration.
after probably living for abt a mth with heaps of nonsense on the table and on every centimetre of the floor.
denise sara bryan and lemincali hv witnessed THE room in chaos.
which reminds me of this rather funny scolding i got from the Matriarch.
well, thing is, a cat(a very weird one) did its business(BIG business) on my bed when i was away in Beijing.
so one day, Matriarch got really mad when she saw the huge mess in THE room.
and said:
"Do you see the cat shit on my bed or your sisters' bed? No wonder the cat chose to shit on your bed, 'cos it's the dirtiest. Like a rubbish dump. I won't be surprised if there's lizard shit and cockroach eggs."
Wanted to LOL so badly, but if i did, i'd be 'slaughtered' so severely, it won't be a laughing matter anymore.
discovered very funny stuff that i wrote in primary school.
like this english assignment where we had to come up with a Joke page.
which of cos i ripped off frm some Joke book.
and found some rather silly chinese essays i wrote.
and also some really adorable pictures of WEI. hee hee.
which i'll probably type or scan in sometime soon.

my fate with anything electronici really don't understand why,
why why why almost all the electronic stuff that i have,
must at least be spoilt once, or not functioning as well as it should be.
it's bloody irritating especially when i have to take time off to go send it for repair.
that HP digital camera which has gone through 4 replacements(i.e. 4 trips to HP Repair Centre),
has finally raised the white flag.
a total goner. the photos taken all turn out really dark.(i.e. useless as a camera)
and then now, the laptop's keyboard has gone bonkers.
in particular, the keys '6', i', 'o' and 'l' do not function properly.
6it churns lout stuff lo6i[ke th6is. espec6ialoloy wlords lo6i[ke ":alololow": and ":clomflortabloe":.
a quick call to Fujitsu where a really polite and courteous receptionist answered my call quoted an exorbitant S$80 just for diagnosis, and that i would have to be prepared to shell out at least S$100 more to replace the damn keyboard.
just becos i accidentally spilt some water on it.
and it has to be the 2 of the vowel keys that are spoilt lor. =((
decided to just get a new keyboard and a new mouse.
was so tempted to get that rubberised keyboard WHICH IS FOLDABLE!
you know it's just one of those fun stuff, but rather impractical.
and i was pleasantly surprised that keyboards are so cheap!
this mini keyboard(the size of the keyboard on a laptop) that i got cost just S$15.
the guy kept pushing me to buy this alien-looking mouse(S$8), but i finally settled for a normal-looking orange rubbery mouse.
Guy: "This one very good! You see, look like alien, very cute hor? Black eyes, green body. hen piao liang hor? Now clearing stock that's why selling so cheap. Even under cost price already."
Me: "Can I try it? Want to try the clicking thing."
Guy: "Sure. (while opening package, he continues) 但是有些人不喜欢,因为好像很残忍,在按它的眼睛。"
Anyway, it really is quite cute, and costs only S$8.
This reminds me of another incident when I developed photos at the Clementi photo studio.
(really cheap to print stuff there! only S$1 for 5R and 6R)
But I can't say what happened now.
It's been 1 month and 4 days since I came back.
Gotten over the almost-every-singaporean-girl-looks-pretty phase.
Ah Siao was right. 2 weeks and that phase just fades away.
Pretty much ate the food that i've been craving for.
Probably overate, especially on the durians, which has resulted in a rather sickly me.
No regrets abt falling sick on durians tho.
Been attending a couple of talks these few weeks, and became rather motivated and inspired by some of the speakers.
I've always been wondering...
how many of such people are there out there?
you know, who really want to make a difference in the world, leave a mark on earth.
i thought majority of people would really just want a happy family, stable income, be free of worries.
Am reading Norwegian Wood and Sputnik Sweetheart by Haruki Murakami.
It's rather irritating how my mind automatically puts an image of ang mohs when i read the book, when they're actually Japanese. got to constantly remind myself that they're Japanese.
Probably cos the book is in English, and they're behaviour just doesn't seem quite traditionally Japanese.
Can't come up with a conclusion on whether those 2 books are good,
but I've came up with a conclusion that I don't quite enjoy books with a lot of details on the scenery. i like to go straight to the plot.
maybe due to being used to reading yi shu's books which mainly focus on the story development and not so much on how that beach looks, or how the house looks.
and in case u guys are interested to know, Sputnik Sweetheart is actually a story of how a girl likes a woman 17 years older than her. but a rather predictable ending i guess.
kinda sad with maddie, auntie lai and lem gone.
but it's just abt 4 months.
sometimes i wonder, if you surround yourself with people of a certain belief, like let's say, people who believe in satanism, (and if you weren't sure if satanism was bad or good) do you think you will turn towards satanism as well? and if you really did, satanism wouldn't seem like a bad thing afterall, isn't it?
or if the people around you were interested in bird-watching, do you think you will eventually cultivate an interest in birds too?
well, probably it all boils down to whether or not you are the grass that does not waver with the direction of the wind.
okay, good night. i really need to get well soon to start exercising.

foodit's been quite a while since i've tasted anything that will make me go, 'Wow! This REALLY is good stuff!'
then today, Aunt Steph popped by and dropped a stash of Taiwanese snacks for the family. so being the minority in the family who constantly clears the snacks in the house, this was something not to be missed.
there was one of my absolute favourite snack: muah chee/mochi/glutinous rice cake!
and if u all know ur muah chee, you'll know that Taiwan makes one of the most yummilicious muah chees. not the Singaporean kind with nuts coating, but the the more high class ones, with red bean/sesame/green tea(which of cos is my favourite of all)/peanut filling wrapped by a super Q/chewy glutinous rice layer, and a flour coating.
it's like i'm back and i've been eating all the food that i thought i missed, but none goes close to this.
would like to post some pics of it. but really quite lazy at this moment.
or probably lazy most of the time. and occasionally not too lazy.
yea, still yet to unpack my luggage properly. haha.
