Bags

as i was lugging my faux agnes b bag around bugis today,
which contained tons of stuff like magazines, water, umbrella, scones which have grown mould, shuffle, notebook blah blah
and i wondered, why don't women carry backpacks?
it's like backpacks are only for the macho/sporty women (or school kids)
all those sling bags/handbags are killing their shoulders!
they are definitely killing my shoulders.
someone should invent pretty/trendy backpacks,
and the fashion world should make it THE next bag to have!

Wasting time

do you feel lost at times too?

i think i'm pretty good at wasting time.
spent quite a bit of the afternoon looking thru the beijing photos.

and i always feel that i miss pc and the SGreans in BJ so much whenever i see those photos.

looking thru the wu tai shan piccas brings me to the state of serenity i felt looking at the rolling hills. and the kind of quietness you don't get in SG.

some catching up with the old man at a pretty yummy steamboat restaurant at tan quee lan. it's NOT t i a n ti an! and not the sucky one that JELS had at haji lane(??) either. called little mongolian lamb or something like that. after which we proceeded to find Tom's Palette at Shaw Towers for some REALLY YUMMY home-made ice-cream! it's seriously delicious. I ordered summer berries and longan+red dates. Surprise, surprise, the longan+red dates tasted much better than summer berries. Very value-for-money at $2.80 for 2 flavours. Plan to make a trip down there tmr maybe. After my last paper for the semester. :DDD

And just because the older one has become a rather willing subject in my picca-taking frenzy, she'll be featured more often here. Btw, those are some pretty good pincers. Though I'd say No Signboard tastes better. More pincers on this page soon too! Yippee.

Actually, i'm not as happy as i seem to sound. but yes, the happiness level is increasing many notches by the day. secret la.

my baby

pls send your warm greetings to my new baby.
which arrives in 2 weeks time.
almost all my good friends are users of this baby's siblings, so i guess i really don't need to worry much about compatibility.
now i'll stop getting eye-rollers from sz and nana whenever i talk about laptops.
*heehee.
it's such a high involvement product to me, that i really felt like such a brain-wreck whenever i was just minutes away to making a final decision in a laptop store, and always ended up deciding to spend more time to think about it.
(when i've already spent like 2 months thinking about it)
I can't use any of the decision-based processes to decide on my final purchase cos i just have too many wants and don't wanna compromise on any of them. (EBA, Lexicology)
so it was a tough fight between Acer 3044 and Macbook 2.0GHz.
Portability VS Specs

so the ultimate decision was made when the matriarch was showing off to me how easy it was to use an Apple. people use expensive apple in her office hor, don't play play. when the irony of it all is that i'm suppose to be the techie.

just hope i don't engage in much cognitive dissonance when i really get my hands on my baby.

and also 2 more weeks to the arrival of ah-hua! :D
