This weekend was such a great weekend with all 5 kiddos! We met at the lake on Friday night and just hung out til bedtime. Saturday morning we got up and had breakfast and then hit the water! The boys were so pumped about being on the boat. We swam that morning for a good 2 hours and then had snacks on the boat. We came in for lunch and some rest time (kids watched a movie). We went back out on the boat around 5pm for another swim. We wore those kids out! We ate dinner around 8pm and they were all so sleepy it wasn’t hard to put them down for bed.
Sunday, we took the boat out again and swam. I bought some squirt guns from the dollar store and it was cheap entertainment. So much fun watching the boys swim and the girls squirt them with water. We came back for lunch and a movie. Then we just hung out the rest of the afternoon til it was time to go home. It was a short weekend but the kids really enjoyed the boat. We asked all of them what their favorite thing was and they all said “the boat ride”. They were truly exhausted from the boat and swimming. It was another easy night putting them down for bed.Sunday, June 24, 2012

Father's Day
The girls’ best friend, Madison, celebrated her 5th birthday at the waterpark. It was such a good time. Everyone enjoyed being in the pool and hanging out. We had pizza and cake! Derek didn’t go with us because he was golfing with Dad for Father’s Day. We left the party and met up at Mom’s house for the rest of the day. We just hung out and grilled for dinner. Derek had a great Father’s Day golfing. It was his best game ever!! I heard all about it on the way home.

candy land
The girls are at the perfect age to play games. We have been playing Candy Land every night. They absolutely love it and its so much fun. One thing we have to learn is how to not be a sore loser. We are slow learners in that department.

Ice cream and splash park
Girls and I went to the Quince’s for the day since Derek was out at the lake. We had lunch and played for a little bit. Then Miss and I packed the kids up and head to Braums for ice cream and then on to the Splash Park . Everyone had an ice cream cone but Julius didn’t eat his cause he doesn’t like cold things. The splash park was fun. Miss and I sat in the shade while the kids ran around for a good hour and a half. Julius decided he didn’t want to get wet so he sat by us the entire time. He didn’t do anything but chill. The other 4 kids were busy getting wet and splashing all around. We got home and made dinner then the girls and I headed home. The girls fell asleep immediately so the car ride was nice and quiet. My favorite kind.

7 years and counting...
Derek and I celebrated our 7th anniversary today. Grannie and Poppy watched the girls over the weekend so we could enjoy a weekend at the lake. We had a great time shopping on Saturday. Sunday, we rented jet skis for 2 hours. That was a blast. I threw us off the jet skis when it was my turn to drive. I skipped over the water 5 times before I sunk. That is how fast we were going. Derek could tell we were going to lose it so he dove in the water. I lost my sunglasses to the lake. All in all, we had a great time and explored Lake Ray Hubbard from the lake side. Such big homes on that lake.
Tonight after swim class, we went to BWW for our anniversary dinner. Its a good spot when you have kiddos.
