What a special day..

...for such a special girl!!You were such an angel the day you were blessed. You stayed wide awake while your dad was blessing you and didn't make a peep. There was definitely a special spirit with us that day. I couldn't have asked for a better day.. to top the day off you had your first laugh. It must have been a special occasion because you haven't laughed since. So glad that you could be born into our little family! We love you

Two months

Sweet little Avary, you are TWO months (February 22, 2012)!

This past month has been so fun (besides the multiple blowouts).

-You have started to smile/coo and will talk with us, especially your daddy. You always get the biggest grin when he starts talking to you.

-You still love sucking on your little hands and have recently discovered your fist. I will catch you staring at your fist and it is so dang cute.

-You can now follow us around the room and you sure know how to turn that head far!
-You also discovered your tongue and it never stops moving.

Two months: 10 lbs 2 oz, 23rd percentile
Length: 21 1/2 inches 12th percentile
Head circumference: 15 inches 48th percentile

One month

It has been so fun to have you home with us Avary! At one month you...

Have a love hate relationship with your binky, so you resort to sucking on your hand. It's so cute!

Took your first bath at 3 weeks old and you loved it!

-Celebrated your first Christmas

-Started cooing

-Discovered your little tongue

-Can tell when mom or dad come into the room

..and since the second day we brought you home you have slept in at least 3 hour increments.

You are such a good baby and definitely spoil us. We love you and can't wait for more to come!

Baby Avary

I can't believe this little girl is finally here. Luckily she made up for her long arrival with an easy delivery. My Dr. was nice enough to induce me a day early, so on Thursday we went to the hospital and by 8 a.m. they had started me on patocin and broke my water. At that time I was dilated to a 3 and 80% effaced. 2 1/2 hours later I was dilated to an 8. Around 12:30 they had me start pushing and at 1:22 p.m our cute Avary was born. I still can't believe how smooth things went. Besides feeling a couple of crappy contractions, the delivery part was pretty painless. Now if only the recovery part went that easy....

We are so happy to have our little girl home with us. It has definitely been a tough trying to get used to having a baby around, but I wouldn't have it any other way. She is such a blessing and we couldn't love her more!!

Shower

I'm pretty sure the best thing about being pregnant is having baby showers. It's so fun to get all the cute clothes and accessories for this little girl. Way better than Christmas. Everyone brings gifts, yummy food and you don't have to clean up.. what more could you want?

34 Weeks

Ta Da...

The babies room is finished, well almost, just a few decorations left to put up. I wish I could take credit for it, but my mom practically did everything. She sewed all the bedding and curtains, re-upholstered the chair and painted all the decorations to match. She did such a great job!!!

My one contribution was the wall hanging. For being my first quilt/wall hanging, I was pretty impresses with myself jk

Now we just need a baby....
