Four years and counting

I can't believe it has been four years for us. I feel like we are starting to finally get into the groove of things. I'm sure we still have a lot to learn, but it sure is nice to know how to deal with each others crazy moods. Too bad for Derek he still has plenty of mood swings to come from me. He sure is a good sport to put up with all my crazy emotions.
For our anniversary this year we decided to spoil ourselves and book a trip to Hawaii. I'm pretty sure that was the best idea we have had in our four years of marriage. We had such a good time. I always plan on taking good pictures and a lot of them, but of course that never happens. I was pretty proud that I got more than 10 pictures in this trip, too bad they are all scenery.
We stayed at the Outrigger Reef on the beach and it was so nice to be right on the beach. This was the view from our room

Our first stop was Hunauma Bay. It was so pretty, but hard to get used to the coral everywhere. The trees and chicken were pretty entertaining too .. ha ha

Since this was my first time to Hawaii, we had to go to the Polynesian Cultural Center.

We ate at the Top of Waikiki, which was amazing and had the best food. As you are eating the restaurant rotates so you can see the different views of the city and beach.

The catamaran ride was by far our favorite part. They take you out a sailboat and drop you off in the middle of the ocean to swim with turtles and fish. I could not believe how clear the water was and all the creatures you could see. The turtles and fish were so close you could touch them. I was a little worried about snorkeling in the middle of the ocean, but thank goodness for the water noodles!
To end our trip we met up with some of Derek's family and went to Chinatown. It was kind of a shady  place, but had yummy food and way pretty flower lei's. Another dorky thing we did  was pick out an oyster to find the pearl inside. It's crazy to think that such ugly creatures can make such pretty things.
It was sad to have the trip end, but we had a great time!
