36 Weeks

I guess I was 36 weeks on Friday, but we forgot to take a picture, so I waited to do an update until I went to my OB appointment today. Everything looks really good still. I measured a week small this time. Boy Baby is head down for now, hopefully he stays that way. His heart rate was around 136 bpm, so that's good. I had to do the Strep B test this time and Dr. Saunders also checked to see if I was progressing at all. I am only dilated to 1 cm. Which, is fine with me for now. I am not quite ready for Boy Baby to make his appearance in the world.

Boy Baby is still moving like crazy. Last night I swear he moved non stop for a good hour or two. His movements are getting a little bit more uncomfortable for me, but I like knowing that he is okay, because he is so active. I still am having shortness of breath off and on, but it's manageable. I am having a harder time sleeping at night and find myself awake a lot. But I guess it's preparing me for being up a lot with a newborn. I am also starting to feel really tired again like I did in the first trimester. Luckily I've been able to take naps off and on when Taylor is down, and they seem to help.

35 Weeks

I can't believe that I'm already to the point I was at when I had Taylor. Being here makes me realize how super early she was. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that Boy Baby doesn't decide that he needs to come this early as well. I am not ready. Things are still going really well. I had a doctor's visit earlier this week on Monday and the baby's heart rate looks good but I was measuring a week big again. People keep asking me how I'm handling being pregnant during the summer, but really, I don't notice any difference then when I was pregnant during the winter/spring with Taylor. I don't feel any hotter than I usually do during the summer when I'm not pregnant and I haven't had any swelling. It is however, getting cramped in there. I am having a hard time getting comfortable and am constantly moving around while Derek and I watch 24 trying to find a place I can breathe in. Other than that, I'm doing pretty well. The morning sickness seems to finally have gone away in the last week. I do feel queasy occasionally but it's pretty rare.

Happy Birthday Derek!

Today is Derek's birthday! He had to go to work today, but when he got home we gave him "Lego Indiana Jones" for the XBOX 360. We went to dinner at Iggy's Sport Grill and we had a Cold Stone cake when we got back. Taylor loved singing "Happy Birthday" and would clap and say "yay" it was really cute. She even tried to help him blow out his candle.

Tomorrow we are going to dinner to Magleby's and shopping without Taylor. Our sweet neighbors, Debbie & Janice are going to watch her for us. I am so thankful to have him as a husband. He is SO good to me and is such a good daddy for Taylor. Happy Birthday Babe, we love you!

Grandparents

On Friday, my Grandpa & Grandma Roberts came out to Provo for a wedding. They were able to stop by and visit with Taylor and me for a few hours beforehand. Taylor sure had a lot of fun playing with them and getting the extra attention. We were able to have lunch together also. It was a lot of fun to be able to spend some time with them. We love them so much!

Five Years

Thursday, Derek and I celebrated our five year anniversary. We always thought we would do something really fun on our five year anniversary like going on a cruise, but because I'm due to have a baby in seven weeks, we decided to go simple. My mom came out and stayed with Taylor while Derek and I went up to Salt Lake and stayed in a hotel for the night.

We went to lunch at Chili's and then we went and got massages. Bad idea. We should have eaten after the massages. My stomach was so full that I felt like I was going to throw up the entire time. I was so happy when it was time to turn onto my back.

After the massages we checked into our hotel and chilled for a while. We then went to Texas Roadhouse for dinner. Verdict... Ruby River and Outback are a lot better. After dinner, we went to Applebees for dessert and then went to a Salt Lake Bees game. It was buy one ticket get one free night for students, so we got in for pretty cheap. I'm not a big baseball fan, but Derek loves it. So it was fun being there just because he enjoys it so much.

We stayed until the beginning of the 8th inning. It was almost 10:30 pm and we were tired. We went to IHOP for breakfast the next morning, did a little shopping and then headed home. It was fun little vacation just the two of us.

I am so lucky to be married to my best friend. It has been the best five years ever and I'm sure the rest of forever will be pretty good too!

32 Weeks

Yesterday I went to my 32 week OB appointment. Derek was home during the morning, so I left Taylor home with him and went by myself. Taylor and I have been pretty sick with pink eye, sore throats and coughs, so I thought it was better to let her sleep then drag her to the clinic.

While I was waiting for the doctor in one of the rooms, they didn't have any air on, and it was really really hot in there. All of a sudden I just started to feel really like headed and I got sick to my stomach. Luckily, I made it to the bathroom in enough time, or that could have been embarrassing! I am measuring right on and the baby's heartbeat was strong in the 150's. I go back in another 2 weeks. I also had to schedule the rest of my appointments. I can't believe how close it's getting! I'm still nervous and sad about not being just me and Taylor, but I am starting to get uncomfortable, so I'm sure by the time it gets closer I'll be more than ready for boy baby to come.
