After dinner tonight, Derek took Taylor and Cohen outside to play for little bit. He bought them a bat and ball a few weeks ago, and they were both really excited to play baseball. They both try so hard to throw and hit the ball and love it when we help them. We are thinking about signing them both up for T-ball.

It was gorgeous weather today. I think it got to 65 degrees! Taylor immeditaley wanted to go to the backyard when she got off the bus, and had fun going down the slide, swinging and throwing/kicking the ball. Cohen had fun too, but he got scared when I tried putting him on the swings and he slipped a little.

Kendall came over to watch the kids for us tonight so Derek and I could go to the temple. W did sealings, and then got Coldstone for dessert afterward. We had such a great time!

When I got out of the shower this morning, I found Taylor and Cohen playing together with the princess castle in Taylor’s room. Taylor was knocking on the front door and Cohen was letting each princess in one by one after saying, “come in!” Too cute!

I met up with my friend, Lyndsey, at The Wild Zucchini for lunch yesterday. Afterward, I took Cohen to get a haircut at Cookie Cutters. I love how handsome he looks with a fresh haircut.

This morning, I took Taylor to get her haircut too.  Her hair was getting SO long. I had them cut off three inches. It looks so much healthier!

Taylor had no school on today because it was President’s Day, but Derek had to work, so we met him in Murray at Red Robin for dinner. Taylor was so excited for a cheeseburger and french fries.


Cohen has been pulling up the bin his stuffed animals go in, up to the TV cabinet, and standing on it like a stool to watch his shows.

I made some Valentine’s Day cookies Thursday afternoon. I love decorating sugar cookies now that I found a glaze recipe I like. I also assembled the Valentines for the kids to take to their school parties.
Friday we celebrated Valentine’s Day. I made the kids pink heart-shaped pancakes for breakfast, and left them balloons, and presents on the table. Taylor got some books, and Cohen got two new cars. They were both really excited. Derek left them out some candy and me some flowers and earrings. I got Derek some Reese’s hearts, and a coupon for dinner and tickets to either a Jazz game.

Mom sent the kids a Valentine in the mail, and a $10 bill for them to get something fun. Taylor was excited to open it. Kendall stopped by for a little bit and brought the kids some cute sugar cookies. We had pizza for dinner with heart-shaped pepperoni. Holidays with little kids are so much fun!

Cohen slept in until 10:00 am this morning! I don’t remember the last time he did that. I went in to check on him, and found his blankets wrapped around his head. When he woke up, his face was so sweaty! We spent the day cleaning, doing laundry, running errands, and playing with the kids. Eric and Eva came over and watched Taylor and Cohen while Derek and I went out for our Valentine’s dinner at Tucanos. So good!

Willis is so obsessed about watching for the bus to pick up/drop off Taylor and Cohen.

Taylor was having fun playing with these binoculors one morning, and kept saying, "mommy! I see you!"

There were Valentines in the mail this afternoon for the kids from Eric and Sandi. The kids were really excited about it.

Deb, Ben, and Loganne stayed the night. Taylor insisted on staying up until Loganne got here, and then played with her for a half an hour before I made her go to bed. She sure loves that baby!

Cohen woke up feeling a little under the weather today. He wouldn’t eat or drink anything for most of the day, but never had a very warm fever. Sure hope he gets a good night sleep tonight and wakes up feeling better in the morning. It's so sad when my babies are sick.

Cohen has been so funny about enjoying playing with potatoes lately.

Willis loves to play with socks, and anytime he finds one on the floor he get so excited and runs around flipping it up in the air and catching it.

I never can get enough of hanging out with my Ds family. We always have such a great time, and Tuesday night was no exception. We had a lot of laughs, and I enjoyed meeting some new moms.

Taylor and Cohen have been getting along so much better lately. It’s so much fun to watch them play together.

Cohen wore holes in both knees of his jeans. The first of either of the kids to wear our their pants. He keeps pointing to the holes and saying, “Oh no! It’s broken!”

This afternoon, Derek and I decided to take the kids swimming at the Lehi Legacy Center. They LOVED it! Taylor couldn’t quit talking about it all day before we went.  They swam and swam until we finally had to bribe them with pizza to get them get out.
