Mom bought this dress for Taylor this week, and Taylor was excited to wear it today. It looks darling on her.
Taylor starts school on Tuesday, so we decided to do something fun to end our Summer for FHE tonight. We roasted s'mores with our fire pit. It wasn't as fun as I was picturing it. It was too warm outside for the fire, and the kids didn't really want to be outside. But oh well, we tried. Since Derek gets home so late on Mondays, he also gave both of the kids their beginning of the school year Father's blessings. I can't believe that Summer is pretty much over. It came and went way too fast for my liking, and I am not ready to send my kids back to school. Especially since Taylor will be in full day school this year. I'm going to miss her like crazy!

Last Seven Peaks Trip
We went to Seven Peaks tonight, probably for the last time this Summer. We've just been so busy, it's been hard to fit it in. We were sad, when we looked at the website and saw that the Provo location was going to be closed today for a private party, so we went to the SL location instead. The kids had a blast and didn't want to leave.

| I was so excited to pick up this box of peaches. Hands down my favorite fruit. Unfortunately, half of the box was moldy and rotted before they ripened. |

Bear Lake Trip Part Three
Saturday, we spent the day at North Beach. The kids loved playing in the sand and water. They seriously played non-stop from the moment we got there, until we left. I tried so hard to keep sunblock on them the whole time, reapplying it every half hour or so, but, poor Taylor's back got sunburned anyway. We had a great time!
Bear Lake Trip Part Two
Friday morning, Eric (Derek's Dad), Derek, Eric (Courtney's husband), Alyson, the kids, and I went to a little pond to go fishing. Cohen and Taylor mostly just had fun throwing rocks into the pond. We could see the fish all over the place, and would even hit them in the face with the bait, and they just wouldn't bite. After an hour or so, it started to pour rain. So, I loaded up the kids and took them back to condo and fed them lunch. The rest of them stayed behind, determined to catch something.
Bear Lake Trip Part One
We headed up to Bear Lake this afternoon to spend the weekend with the Kerns side of the family. We had two nice condos to stay in. As soon as we got there, we started making dinner. We all took turns providing one dinner, and one breakfast and Derek and I volunteered to do the first meal. I fried up all the scones and made the chili at home before we left. So all I needed to do was warm back up the scones in the oven and prep the toppings for Navajo Tacos. After dinner, Derek, Sandi, and I took the kids down the pool to swim. They had little pool that was only 2 1/2 feet deep a little bit bigger than the size of a hot tub, that was perfect for them to swim in. They LOVED it!
The next morning, we spent the day on the boat. Taylor loved it, and Cohen was pretty nervous the whole time, but he never cried. Taylor was brave and rode on the tube several times. She sometimes would even let go and hold her hands up in the air, haha.

Nine Years
Derek and I celebrated our nine year anniversary today. I am so thankful for Derek, and feel like the luckiest girl alive to be able to call him mine. We were able to to dinner at Market Street Grill. We then headed over to the car dealership and purchased a 2011 Honda Odyssey. So crazy that we are now mini-van drivers.

Quick Trip to Roosevelt
We headed out to Roosevelt Friday night after Derek got home from work. We crammed ourselves in the Focus so we could get better gas milage. We regretting not taking the Pathfinder about an hour into our trip, haha. The kids were more than excited to be out of the car and at grandma's house when we got there.
Saturday morning, Derek went over to my grandparent's house to help shingle their roof. Then around lunch, we went to my old high school for my 10 year reunion. After the reunion, we went and visited Grandpa and Grandma Roberts. The kids always love to go over there. Cohen loves to play with these plastic animals that grandma has. Then we went back to mom's, had dinner, let the kids play outside for a little bit, and then headed home.
