For Memorial Day weekend we loaded up our 27 month old little guy and 4 week old little gal and headed to my parents for the weekend. My brother, SIL and their four kiddos were also spending the weekend there and we were excited to spend some time with them. The last time we saw them was during our beach trip last June!
Lincoln loved spending time with his cousins. My parents put up a pool in the backyard and that is where the kids spent most of their time. And I managed to get no pictures of them playing out there. Lincoln was a bit timid about the pool and preferred just walking around the pool and throwing balls and toys in the pool to the other kids. He came around by the end of the weekend but would only get in if Cory was in there with him.
One night we took the 6 kids to a bounce house to play. I think the adults had as much or more fun than the little ones. Here are a few pics from our time playing there.
We also celebrated Carter's 6th birthday pirate-style on Sunday which was his actual birthday. He is the oldest of the six cousins. He kept asking me over the weekend if he could hold Emery and I told him on his birthday I would let him. He has three younger sisters so he is quite the professional at holding babies, as you can tell from the picture.
These two had a super fun time together.
And on Sunday night, the crew headed to LR to see the fireworks. I, however, stayed behind with my little gal. Cory took some pictures of the event so I wouldn't completely miss out! Cory said Lincoln was pretty shy while he watched the fireworks but the way home he talked about how they went "boom."
We loved spending time with our cousins and look forward to the next time!
