Let's see what you have been up to in the last 6 months:
- You weigh around 29 pounds. You wear a size 5 diaper and size 24 months-2T clothes. And you wear a size 5-6 shoe.
- You have become a better eater. You eat more veggies and fruits than you did a few months ago. Your favorite it still mac-n-cheese. You also love chips and dips, apples dipped in peanut butter and peaches.
- Around 20 months of age we took away your paci. It was sad for mommy and I had a tough time making the decision. You were pretty much down to only using it in your bed. The first night we put you to bed without it you cried off and on for a while. You kept saying "momma, momma" and then "may may" which is what you had called your paci. It was hard on my momma-heart to hear you cry to much. The 2nd night it was less and the 3rd night it was only a few minutes. Prior to taking it away you were an amazing sleeper. I do think it has affected your sleep a little bit. Your bedtime seems to be pushed back a bit to around 8:30 and your naps went from a solid 3 hours to more like 2-3 hours.
- You have pee-peed in the potty a few random times. You love sitting on the toilet and keep wanting your diaper off to run around naked. I think you could be easy to potty train. We are holding off till the summer to embark on that journey with you!
- You love your Lovie but not as much as Lincoln loves his. You prefer to reach for a baby doll as quick as your reach for your lovie to cuddle with.
- Around 18 months your speech really blossomed. You started trying to repeat everything we said and you started pointing and jabbering about things around you. Now, around 21 months you are starting to consistently say some 2 words phrases such as "bye bye momma" and "all done"
- You are a HAM. You love to play and be silly. You have the best facial expressions.
- You love music and love to dance.
- You LOVE real babies and baby dolls. You spot babies from across the room and say "awww" and tilt your head. You want to touch them so bad. You sleep with baby dolls every night and carry them around often.
- You also love puppy dogs. You point and make a big "o" shape with your mouth when you see one. And you start saying "ruff ruff" You also love to crawl around and act like a dog.
- You have started showing signs of "terrible 2's" You can throw yourself down on the ground and cry when you do not get your way.
- You have started to show signs of a temper. If you get upset at Lincoln then you will chase him down and hit him. And if you cannot get to him then you will hit whoever is near your or hit any object near you.
- You have recently started going to "time out" You sit there and do not get up for the 1.5 minutes we set the timer for. You are super sensitive and get so upset if we get onto you.
- You also love make-up and shoes. We got handed down some pink boots from your cousins and you want to wear those things all.the.time. You are constantly bringing me shoes throughout the today and wanting to change shoes.
You are a sweet girl and we love having you in our house!! In just a few short weeks we will be celebrating your 2nd birthday! How can it be?
