I’ve completed an overgrown jungle ruin piece of terrain, to match the Tyranids, the two overgrown towers that I have already posted about, and for a project of a little eco-punk miniatures game that I’ve been working on when I have some free time…
The terrain is scratch-built using cardboard and cheap texture paste from a “dollar” store, plastic aquarium plants, cocktail sticks, sand, natural moss and a few plastic tufts. The moss I painted over with thin acrylic paints this time, with very good effects.
I’m afraid that the pictures I was able to take don’t do full justice to the piece, which I am very happy with. The green of the leaves may be a bit too vibrant to the actual eye, but I actually wanted to try something like that.
Soon I’ll be travelling abroad for three months, and I won’t be able to do any more terrain, but I’ll eventually come back to this and make a few more ruins – enough to fill a 2′ x 2′ board at least. Once I do I’ll try to find a way to take better pictures, a place a few miniatures among the ruins as well.
Next, I’ll be working on some more Tyranids, and then some new (to me) Necromunda figures…
