So Devin and Rachel's Life? We've been married for six months yesterday! Time really does fly! We celebrated by going to a buffet because Devin loves to eat! Then we played with our Niece, Samantha, 4, and Nephew, Avery 21 months, at the park. We fed ducks and got chased by geese. Those suckers are scary! They will beak you to death! Then played at the playground and beach. It was a beautiful day in the Sun in Washington. Oh I guess I should mention we moved to Washington.
So we decided to pack up and move to Washington for the next 7 months to try things out. Devin is looking for a new job away from the Fedex business so we'll see how that turns out. I hope he finds something he will love doing! I am searching for an apt for us to live in too. It's fun! I'm excited to finally have our first place together! So for now we are running errands and going to the doctor which is the main reason we came. Oh I think I forgot to mention that we are pregnant!
I estimate myself to be at 18 weeks today but am not completely sure. My first official doctor visit is tomorrow so I'll keep ya updated on the result! We think it's a boy so we'll see if the whole mother's intuition is really true. Being pregnant has really been crazy! I feel bad most of the time for Devin because he's had to be working and catering to the whims of a pregnant person at the same time. Believe me that can be hard. My first couple months I was put on bed rest. I wasn't allowed to walk or stand for more than ten minutes and couldn't lift more than ten pounds. It was so frustrating not to be allowed to do anything! And believe me, I wasn't allowed. I got yelled at a lot. oops :) I eventually learned to listen. Then the morning sickness kicked in about the time the doctors tell you it's supposed to be stopping. So I guess I'm having a backwards pregnancy. It's definately a unique and exciting time in life. Lots of emotions and changes for sure and I am sooooooo very happy that I get to do it all with my BEAUTIFUL HUSBAND!! Man is he gorgeous with a kid in his arms! Okay I know some people get obsessed with talking about being pregnant so I'll try to keep it to a minimum. TRY!
So besides the current status of our life we had a few other things happen. We flew to Kentucky to pick up a Fed-Ex truck for Devin's dad and drove it back to Wyoming. The drive was beautiful and we got to meet some very interesting people. We definately didn't experience any of the southern hospitality we hear about. However we did get to stop in Kansas and visit some great friends that are going to school there. We had a blast! We miss them so much. They are so good and making our sides hurt with laughter. So we stayed for the night and talked a lot and caught up on life. We went out to eat at a Mongolian Buffet and the Steve and Devin got to eat a lot of food. No wonder they are friends! Anna and I got to talk a lot about being Newlyweds and compare secrets. We played Catch Phrase the rest of the night which is SOOOO FUN! Then slept and continued Driving. So in the past week we've drove 2400 miles! Crazy!!!!
I can't think of much else that's exciting so I'll get some pictures up soon and keep on playing to get the blog looking pretty!
