blog much

i know, i've been blogging like a loser with nothing better to do...probably b/c i really don't have anything better to do :) i miss my friends!! at least i have a aurora, ty, and a big house to keep me company. and speaking of the house, new house = new adventures. ty has been hurting himself like crazy since we moved in. geez! let me just break it down for you:

bloodied mouth/lip/teeth/gums-4 times
chipped tooth--1
black eye--1
found him at the top of the stairs getting ready to roll(which means he managed to break down the safety gate...with the help of little miss aurorita)--2 times
bruises/scraps--too many to count

oh man, obviously this house is not baby proof. lets hope things will only get better. once he learns how to be more stable on his feet and go down stairs things should start looking up :)

ok, on to the pictures.
we got a little pool for the backyard. the kids have a lot of fun in it.

aurora is a dress-up queen. every day it is the same:
1.nightgown/dress(anything twirl worthy)
2. socks AND leggings
3. shoes (they have to be "ballerina" shoes)
4. necklace, bracelet, ring
all this = a complete princess/ballerina outfit; and if she doesn't get to layer all of this on she whines, "if i don't wear a nightgown/dress/ballerina shoes/necklace, etc i can't be a princess. i'm nothing! zero princess!"
yikes.

i'm still rachel from the block

we went and saw chelsea up in south jordan last night. she has a little boy blake and another on the way in december.
the kids had a lot of fun in the baby pool.

here we all are together. chelsea's husband is john. it was so fun to see her again! it had been over 4 years!

family trip to byu

we decided to take a little drive down to provo to show the kiddos byu. we had a lot of fun. in the first 2 pictures we are standing under the tree where danny and i first ate lunch together. we had our physical science class(where we met) in the building behind us. oh memories...

ty's bday party...a little late

i just realized i never posted pictures of ty's bday party/goodbye bbq. we had his party the night before the kids and i left for missouri so it was also kind of a goodbye party. it was a lot of fun to hang out with a lot of our good friends one last time. we just bbqed and had some water games for the kids.

some of the guys decided it would be fun to have a hot dog eating contest. whoever ate 1 hot dog the fastest was the winner.

ahhh, good times. we really miss our odenton friends!

"um...of God" (get it? "a child of God" i thought that was pretty funny)

"i don't know"

"big"

"clean up the mess"

9. What does mom do when you're not around?
"her gives you a spanking" (sad...)

10. What is mom really good at?
"smart tv"

"i don't know" (i can't think of anything either...)

"clean up the mess" (ain't it the truth)

"pickles"

"la, la, lalala" (she started dancing and singing)

(she did "i love you" in sign language)

well it was clear she didn't understand quite a few of the questions but some of the answers were pretty funny.

the house...a few of my favorite things

well i have been getting lots of requests for pictures of the house, so here you go. i decided to just take a few pictures of my favorite things in the house. first things first, the closet. i love having all the space. plenty of room, and then some, for all my stuff.

we have a backyard! its not real big but i like the size and i've never been able to say i actually have a yard :)

this is just the play area upstairs (never had one of these before either). nothing fancy but its got a tv so aurora can watch movies. and a big closet to keep all the kids toys nice and tidy.

oh how i love this kitchen. it has a lot of cool features. well, cool to me since our previous residence only had the bare minimum basics.
the fridge is awesome. its really big and the freezer is a pull out drawer on the bottom.
there are 2 ovens, a small one on top and a bigger one on bottom. sweet!
the sink is cool too with a spout for filtered water and a spout for scalding hot water (and its has a delay to keep the little ones safe).
the kitchen is just huge! its fun having a lot of room to work in.
