Friday night was a huge milestone for Nate. He had his own inspiration to take Allie with him to the Jr High play while he filmed it for his tech class. She was thrilled to go on a date with her big brother! They both came home happy. They liked the play so much I had to go see it myself the next day. They did too!! It was A Little Mermaid at Vista Heights and it was awesome!
It's interesting to have him start building his own relationships with his brother and sister. At least one that we haven't forced...it's actually a relief. Nate has never been one to be able to relate to other people. Maybe he does but he doesn't ever show it. It used to make me feel bad that he didn't like socializing, but I guess it doesn't really matter. He makes the socializing that he does do count.
Not that he's even CLOSE to perfect at it! He still needs a LOT of practice. But it's progress!
