Egg Decorating

We did some egg decorating after church on Sunday. I'm not sure who had more fun - the big kids or the little ones!

Lizzy, Kurt and Mindy getting ready to decorate some eggs!

The big boys are all pretty intent on their eggs!

Works of art in progress.

Some finished products!

The egg Uncle Kurt made especially for Jojo.

Bubbles

Grandma did some bubble blowing with the kiddos Saturday morning! Though it was chilly and a bit windy, everyone had a great time!

Spur of the Moment

We ended up having the McEachrans over for dinner on Friday night (as well as Grandma Meg and Uncle Kurt who were in town for the weekend). It was very spur of the moment, which was so fun! Our Friday afternoon tradition of "Beer on the Front Porch" took us way into dinner time, so it turned into dinner together as well. The kiddos, who had been playing outside for most of the afternoon, plopped down on the couch and started reading some books. Sam, who is a great reader, read Snow to Lizzy, who loved every minute of it!

Bumbo

Here is the newest addition to our life - the Bumbo! It is a big hit! I had said a half hearted prayer on Thursday morning about wishing I had a Bumbo for Zeke. A couple hours later, my friend Michelle called and said they had a Bumbo they were interested in passing around and did we want it?! Yes we did! Thank you Lord! And thank you Michelle.
The Bumbo allows babies Zeke's age, who can't sit up, but wish they could, to sit up and join the action, which they always want to be a part of. Wow, that was quite a sentence! And little Mr. Zeke is one happy camper. The rest of us are also thrilled - it is so fun to have him at eye level!

March Happenings

So, here is what has been happening for us over the month of March:

Pine Wood Derby!

The Lolos organized a pine wood derby. This was a great project for Daddy and the kiddos to do together! They had such a fun time building and painting the cars. And then they had a great time racing them. Eric, before they left for the race, said, "Well, we might not be fast, but at least we've got style." Apparently they had both - Lizzy's car actually got first place! They called it "Flower Power"! Thanks to the Lolos for a great time!

Then little Zeke turned 3 months old and rolled up on his side. Big milestones!

Zeke is such a cutie! He is a seriously loved-on little guy! And who could resist such an adorable smile?

Lizzy and Jojo have a great time together! Lizzy takes her big sister responsibilites very seriously. And Jojo adores his "sissy". Here is Lizzy reading to Jojo.

And she also takes great care of Zeke. She tells him over and over again throughout the day, "I love you SO much!" Zeke is 3 1/2 months old and loves his big sister and brother! He has special smiles reserved just for them.

Driveway Racing

One of the kiddos favorite outside activities is racing down the driveway on their vehicles - usually the firetruck and the trike. And it is a serious race!

Heading up for the race.

The race is on.

Still friends, even after the stiff competition!

Jojo's "Glasses"

Jojo is quite enamored with his "glasses". He wears them for a good part of the day.

Shena and Daniel

We got to have lunch with Aunt Shena and Uncle Daniel (and Gigi, who isn't pictured) before we drove back home. It was so fun! Cute pic!

Southern California

So, for those of you who don't know, we decided, rather last minute, to go south for mid-winter break. We thought a little rest and relaxation in the sun would be a nice break. And it was... for the most part. Here are some tidbits from our vacation:
Sea Tac for Lunch

We love Sea-Tac Airport. It has the coolest area to eat and hang out in. You can watch all the planes taking off and landing, which is non-stop entertainment for the kiddos. Jojo was so excited that he yelled rather loudly everytime he saw a plane take off or land, which happened every 30 seconds or so. He did calm down once our food came. He was in heaven!

Once we got down south, most of our time was spent at the pool. It was rainy and cool for the first couple of days, but we still went swimming anyways. Then it got warmer each day and the kiddos wanted to do nothing else but swim or go in the hot tub. It was great!

Hot tubbing before bed - so fun!

Jojo loved swimming... for about 2 minutes. Then it was off to the "hot-tid". He did swim for longer times once it warmed up, but most often you would find him staring off into space in the "hot-tid".

Lizzy, however, loved the pool! Jojo convinced her to go to the "hot-tid" everyonce in a while with him, but most of the time she had a GREAT time practicing swimming and jumping in the pool. Her swimming skills improved so much in the week that we were there - it was fun to see!

Proof that Jojo did swim every once in a while!

Ahhh, we love this place!!!
