Fun Behind the Boat

Since I didn't post any blogs all summer long, I am going to highlight some fun parts of the summer.
We got to spend quite a bit of time on the water. The kids had some new experiences being pulled by the boat while doing various activities. Here are a few examples:

Both kiddos tried waterskiing for the first time this summer. They went with Daddy. Jojo tried it first - Lizzy wasn't so sure. Jojo was very confident until he and Daddy were ready to "hit it".

He is a little worried...

Now he is a lot worried - he cried the whole time he was skiing with Daddy. We didn't make him suffer for long.

Lizzy was a little apprehensive, but decided to go for it!

And she ended up loving it! No tears for her. Jojo, however, cried the whole time Lizzy was skiing and kept saying that she was scared. I think he was still traumatized from his experience.

Daddy and Lizzy post-ski. Notice the big smiles!

They also went tubing together for the first time. You might not be able to tell, but they talked the whole time they were tubing together. It was SO cute!

And here's Zeke watching and waiting for his turn...

First Day of School

Summer Break is officially over and its time to return to the world of blogging - not that I have ever been a frequent blogger, but we'll see what happens...

The first day of school is such a milestone - especially when it is your first day of school ever. Today was Lizzy's first day of kindergarten - she LOVED it! She is SO excited to go back tomorrow.
Lizzy had planned out this morning a couple of weeks in advance. She would get up, put on her pink robe, (so she didn't spill on her school clothes) eat breakfast and then put on her uniform. And that is exactly what she did.

Ready and excited to head to school!!!

Getting settled at her desk - and still SO excited!

Her least favorite part of the day? Recess (suprised me!) It was a little "boring". Doing work in the classroom was much more fun! Her favorite part of the day - drawing a body. I'm not exactly sure what that means. We'll get to see it tomorrow when she brings it home.

Did Jojo and Zeke miss Lizzy? Zeke slept the whole time she was gone. Jojo didn't have much time to miss her - we weren't home very long in between dropping her off and picking her up - Mommy did a little chatting.
We were home for naps for a little bit and then it was off to choir for Lizzy and Jojo. They had a great time. Lizzy sang by herself in front of all the kids a couple of times and did a wonderful job! Jojo did some singing and lots of watching - he "LUBBED" (loved) choir and that is a direct quote! We are so glad they have this opportunity to learn from Miss Kate.
