We got a great snowfall in December - we thought it was the start of a snowy winter, but it wasn't! It was the biggest snowfall we got (I think), at least as of this writing on Feb 5th, and I think winter is heading out the door.

We convinced the McEachrans to brave the VERY cold (I think it was around 10 degrees) weather and the crowds to go see the Christmas light lighting in Leavenworth. It did end up being very fun, though it really was a little chilly (I think it was the only cold spell we had all winter). The McEachrans even said they might do it again!

Here is just a tidbit from putting up the Christmas Decor, which we always love!!!! Zeke was asleep for this part, but he enjoyed it all the next morning!

We celebrated Zeke's first birthday with our dear friends the Ecks. It was wonderful! I think Zeke thoroughly enjoyed his party and didn't even notice that we didn't have dessert - I had forgotten about it. We don't eat dessert all that often. Oops - probably won't get away with that again at Zeke's birthday party!

But the Ecks were very gracious and didn't seem to mind either. It was a wonderful evening!Here is Zeke the big 1 year old! I believe he had just finished his peas. Quite a treat!

Well, I am a horrible blogger! But I really want to try and capture our days with little ones - they go too fast!!! So, I am going to try again and we'll see what happens. It really is a great way to keep a journal of life - if I am disciplined enough to do it. So here goes...
