Dez loves the beach-

as you can imagine, it is difficult to aggregate all the pictures we are taking (some from Paul's iphone, some from our family camera, and some from other cameras).  we had a wonderful halloween.  we started off the holiday at a pumpkin patch that was quite scary- ghosts and vampires hanging from the rafters, but apparently caters to kids- hmmmmmmmmmmmm.  there was a petting zoo where dez was able to feed crazy looking goats, hairy mother pigs, and a one eyed goat.  again, one scary pumpkin patch!  we also put dez on a pony ride- he preferred the prior experience as he had his own horse (not a pony) and wasnt' forced to walk in a circle.  

My mother came out for a visit and was the most perfect snow white i have ever seen- she may have a job at Disney as the princess . . . we went to a great halloween party with cookies that were shaped like fingers & bones, meatloaf in the shape of a bloody hand, cheese hor'deurves (sp) that were shaped like spiders, and abuelita took amazing pics, but of course they are at my office so if you really want to see them, let me know and i will email them to you.

in MB, they close some streets so the kids can roam and get candy safely.  we had so much fun with abuelita (snow white), steph (a perfect Alfaba who unfortunately scared every kid under 4 years of age including her own girls because of the perfect green makeup) ali (glinda the good witch) and kat (dorothy).  dez was hesistant at the first couple of houses and then when he realized he could get something, he chose the largest shiniest candy at each house.  he ended up sucking on a kitkat bar rapper until i realized he broke through the wrapper and was actually sucking on the chocolate . . .

a week later, we celebrated the 70th birthday of the head of the Univision legal department.  paul as usual had the most amazing costume and curious dez just had to try out what dada was putting on his head.

First time i try to post a video- hope it works!  Each night we bath Dez and give him a baby massage.  Paul wraps Dez in Paul's bathrobe and Dez loves the attention!  Please note the spatula in Dez' hands- he of course prefers household items over the expensive toys he has . . .

This post is long overdue- Dez turned 1 last month and we had a jungle themed party.  We were so lucky to have so many family members join in the celebration and missed those who were not able to make it!  hope you enjoy these pics of our Dez and the life size pinatas that abuelita and tita brought to the party!
