Linkin has decided this week to mix up his nap schedule a little bit. Weird week since he is usually all about sleep time, as am I! I would rock him and put him down and than I would hear weird noises coming from his room and him shrieking with delight. He would get himself all worked up and than he wouldn't want to go to sleep. This is what he was in there doing...

The microphone picked up my voice really loud, and you can't really hear him but it's still cute! ;)

Miss you already!

On Saturday Doug's step dad Phil left to go work in Israel for a year. We had a little going away party for him on Friday night and it was sooo sad! Phil always walks us out when we leave and he stand in front of the car where Linkin can see him and they wave good bye to each other until we turn our car to leave. This has been a ritual ever since Linkin was born. On Friday night when we pulled away and they waved at each other for the last time (until he comes back) I was totally holding back tears. Phil is one of the best grandpas I have ever met! He is so amazing with Linkin. He can get Linkin to do things Doug and I can't even do. (Linkin actually minds Phil!) I have named Phil the "baby whisperer" because of how good he is with Linkin. This next year is going to be soo hard with out him! We love you very much and will miss you tons! Can't wait to get our skype hooked up so we can chat!

Halloween and Trunk or Treat

Linkin went this year as Brobee from Yo Gabba Gabba his favorite show EVER! He loves his "Bee" costume. If he sees it, or even a picture of it he shouts for joy, "BEE!!!" Such a cutie in his little furry suit!

Since last year was such a bust (Link got sick) this year we did it big. Doug was gone for Trunk or Treat which was a total bummer, but Linkin and I went with some of our way fun friends. It was probably one of the best Trunk or Treats we've been to. They started with Pizza in the cultural hall, than had games inside the church classrooms, and finished with trunk or treating outside at the cars. Linkin and I worked all day on him saying "trick or treat!" He finally got it down! He would say, "Preat!" Adorable!!!! It was finally his big moment to shine and we went to the first car and of course they had to have a DOG! From that point on it was just, "Doggy" to everything I would say.

Halloween was the next night and Doug had got home that morning so we could all trick or treat together as a family. We got together with a group of our friends and had a total blast. I think the parents had a better time than the kids, but that is probably usually the case with our group! :) Linkin had another chance to redeem himself with his adorable new word, "Preat." We went up to the first door, camera in hand ready to go, and WHAT THE HECK! ANOTHER DOG!!! Our friend little boy Jake just ran right inside the persons house to check it out. Hilarious! Linkin just sat there saying, "doggy" for the next few houses. Once he would stop saying it, another house would have a dog. Oh well! We had way to much for for Linkin's first trick or treating experience. (Since Linkin is still really little, the guy who was handing out king size candy bars totally called out Doug and his buddy James. The guy was like so this is for you guys right? So funny!)

Linkin's Newest Trick

The other day Linkin got put in time out for smacking me in the face and pulling my hair. When I put him in his room, he locked the door with out me knowing it. I was running around the house trying to find the pick lock, but realized that there wasn't a single one above any door in our house. I tried every tool in my tool box to try to get in, and even started taking off the door handle when I decided to call maintenance and have them come get my kid out. They came pretty quickly, but I was freaking out. When we got Linkin out he was just playing in his room with his toy house and the door stop on the wall. I was more freaked than he was! I felt terrible! That was like the longest time out ever!!!!! Sorry Linkin! :)
