BABY NEWS!!!

We went to our ultra sound appointment today.....yes the one. And I will say what I said on facebook... looks like Daddy will be doing the potty training by example this time. Here is the pic. from the ultra sound I hope he won't be embarrassed later that I put this on for everyone to see.

Thankful Post/ Ramblings

HAPPY HAPPY THANKSGIVING EVERYONE!!!!
I have so much to be thankful for I could go on for hours, A husband that makes me laugh and also is a hottie, of course my adorable little lady, of course all of my family ....calling Jen last minute to babysit and my sister being there when ever I need cleaning my house and doing the random acts of kindness that give me good memories of my mom, Having in laws that I more than get along with that I feel are all special to me and significant in some way, wonderful never ending friendships ....this list will extend a very long way and really I could go on forever. But a loved one brought to my attention last night that the best way to be thankful is when your in adversity, I think of all the times I am upset and things are not going my way and in the moment they are a struggle and it is hard to think good things but I do find myself realizing it was not as bad as I thought and even think about how the things I am thankful for could not be there without those hard times. Any how I am challenging myself to be thankful when it is the farthest from my mind. Enjoy your turkey lurkey this year.

Baby Jesus

Nope it is not Christmas time quite yet. Lily took her baby doll with us on a ride in the car the other day with Gram Chips. Gram asked " Lily what is your baby doll's name?" Lily said, " A boy." Gram, "Ok it is a boy but what is his name?" Lily," Jesus." "Baby Jesus." Now just yesterday she said, the baby in my belly is, Jesus baby also. I will keep you updated if there is no room at the inn/hospital in May.

Baby in the belly

Lily announced to the family yesterday, "Mommy has a baby in the belly!" she sounds excited but can tell that Mommy is not herself lately. With an ultra sound on Tues. we found out that I am eight weeks along and the baby is healthy, though I was terrified since just getting my IUD out that the left over hormones would surely get rid of any baby. Now I have hours of feeling barfy and sleepy while Lily seems to be trying to do anything and everything to drive me bonkers... I wonder what was I thinking. Then as usual of course she says or does something extra sweet for me acting like this adorable little big person and I think yes I want one just as cute as you and yay your going to be Mommy's big helper I hope.

Spoiled Princess Update

Yay!! I am back online at home! I can do more updates and show more pictures. Lily is definitely growing into a little lady. Her first time watching America's got Talent last month has got her on a singing (well belting out, kinda of yelling) frenzy. I took the pic. below to show her chandelier we finally hung and as you can see she is singing on her slide. She likes to get up on things and now uses things as microphones she even falls to the ground onto her back singing in her microphone...rock on right. She is also saying more and more sentences like (I am not going to bed right now I am going to go and watch a show for a minute ok) She also decided yesterday to put me in time out off and on for a good portion of the day though I never went... ( Time out Mommy ..GO! Two minutes! Two minutes!) Daddy even humored her when he was put into timeout after getting home from work, he went to her pink chair for his time out. ( Now what did you do that was naughty Daddy?)

Delay no more

The delay in posts. Sorry folks being home has caused for less posting and mostly because the mother board on our laptop is out of buisness. I really wanted to say mother board just then, it makes me think of Star Trek or something like my life is now more scifi then I realized when I heard of our mother board.
Any how it is summer time, and all I can think of is the Sublime song ...Summer time and the living is easy. I realize this is an old song but when Sublime sings it, you really feel like it is Summer time and the living is easy maybe because I picture Sublime chillin and smokin or having happy brownie time. Any how I have not had any happy brownies but I feel just the same, I am so happy Nathan has been home. And chillin with the fam. and friends has been so nice.
I am sure that everyone who has wanted to has seen Harry Potter already so I just want to say, I was a bit disappointed this time, I wish that they did not deviate from the books so much.
Well I don't have much else to say. Hopefully I will get some pics. and stuff up soon. It is easier to update when I actually have at home access to the internet but that will not be for a while since Nathan has decided to go against PC's now for MAC so we our saving up.
Also for the fam. and friends who know moms mom, my Grandmother Marie Bennett, she is currently fighting off cancer and starts her chemo treatments this week, the blog on the right is suppose to stay updated with her progress. Please keep her in your prayers.

The looks I get...

Well I have organized the move and in doing so I have given Lily less attention, which actually is good for her in some ways I think. But she still is learning to play on her own and has gotten in Mommy's way a lot with this move. She also has decided to test every limit possible, which is part of making a transition and being 2 etc. (part of what makes me bonkers). So I have spoken with a more strict voice and may have also been making an angry face at her. Me being more strict became clear when now with things settled, she yells at me making this face, telling me what to do. Which is so very hard for me, because I think it is that caliber of cute that just makes me laugh. I have to turn away and get back into a straight face to not send mixed signals....it is difficult. Any how here she is with a mouth full of food making her angry face towards Mommy. Currently she has been sent to bed early after testing the limits 4 times on one thing.

Update for friends

Sorry it has been so very long since an update, it has been crazy looking for a place to live, and Lily has had a difficult time being out of her routine and not having her space and her things. But we are doing alright, we have found a condo we are going to move into hopefully we can start moving in next week as well as the weekend. Lily has enjoyed her time at Papa Joe's, and Gram Jen's house...especially since there are dogs, which has been difficult also, (she won't leave the dogs alone.) I have to lock the dogs in a room so she will leave them alone. The dogs get upset at her because they usually sleep most of the day... (oh to have a dogs life)

On this note thank you for putting up with us so far, Papa and Gram Dill.
Nathan is in Texas for a couple weeks (sad face) but he has been doing well at work. We miss everyone in AZ already, hope all is well in the heat.

Saying Goodbye to the Sun

The time has come and it makes me very sad to think about the friends I am giving up spending time with here in Phoenix. If I had it my way I would have the life I have here with the amazing friends that I have made and just have our families live here also. But I can't have both and I will just pray to make friends like all of you again. I hope that we can keep in touch by our computers, and phones. I will miss you all deeply. Thank you for being so dear and kind always right when I needed it. Lily will miss her friends so much also. I hope that all of you in Phoenix know that you are always welcome to stay with us, and not to feel funny if you need me as a friend I am just a phone call away. Lily and I will be leaving next Thurs. so I can do the Race for the Cure with fam. on Sat. and be with my siblings for this first Mothers Day without my Mother.... this came sudden to us as well but I don't like to doddle with moving and having to say good bye is not fun to let linger anyways.

Taxes finished!....April Fools

Tax season sucks!! I feel like I am our un paid accountant that was just hired ...now that it is what almost APRIL!!! This year I am going to be hired for real and start now....well after I finish with our last taxes. If anyone has any good ideas for the self employed ..let's hear em. I am wondering if we should get a seperate card/account to keep track better and maybe get Quickbooks installed.

We don't even have that movie must be from the sing a longs dvd how cute is that. I can't believe how sweet and patient she was, Nathan had already been trying to guess for a while before he called me in. And my favorite part was how good it felt, when she knew that I would know. Which is why she got so close to me to keep telling me and holding her hands on my face so I would listen. I use to have dreams when she was in my belly that she would get hurt and be tough for others but then when she would see me she would let it all out tears and all... (I am sure you have done that with your parents before,.. I have) Now I notice that she is more likely to let it all out to Daddy but when no one will listen or understand I will, I just wish and hope that I always can. Also her new fav. color lately is purple so this font color is for her.

Happiness more or less...

I had to share these items with everyone because I just love them and they make me happy, well I guess you would say they make the artsy side in me happy, which I think is needed for me at least. Also it seems as though pink is finding it's way through our house.

Gram Judy pinned me this time with her fabulous $15 find for Lily. Thank you so much!

And thank you for the pic. Gram Jen. I almost want to redo Lily's room based around this chair.

Something I would purchase this season instead of over priced tulips thank you Walmart!

These fake fuzzy balls will last all season and will probably just end up in another place like Lily's bathroom after since I love them so.

A Grandma Diane

Lily and I went swimming with a friend today and besides Lily and I and Lily's friend and her friends Mom, there was one more person, a woman at the pool today. I did not know her name and she was wearing sunglasses. And I thought nothing of it when Lily kept going up to her and patting at her lap and talking to her. (Since Lily is a kidnappers delight for being so social) I also did not think much of it when our friend asked the women if she had Grand kids and she said, No but she wished she did and she has a 26 year old daughter.
Finally as my heart aches to write this... I finally caught on when Lily followed her to the other end of the pool, and I followed. As the women walked in the pool leading Lily towards me, I looked at the women and realized with her sunglasses on, her body shape, hair, and face shape resembled that of my mother. Though it hurt inside to know that it clearly was not, because my mother is crazy for Lily and would have surely made it her buisness to be giving her constant attention. It also felt so good to know that when I asked Lily if she was like Grandma she said, yes Grandma and that though I know she may forget later she still remembers my Mother.

Hi Heidi and Doob!

Auntie Heidi is missing and being missed by us lately. We have not seen her since Christmas, we miss everyone else as well and I put these pics. of Lily on mostly for Heidi but I hope that it is also nice for all of you to see how Lily looks as she talks on the phone to those from home. I was telling Heidi that Lily is singing as we were on speaker phone so she asked Lily to sing her a song, so she sang.... " A dream is a wish your heart makes..." then Heidi asked Lily to sing more, so she sang...."More...More ...More ..More " It was so cute and made us laugh so she kept doing it. Then on the phone with Daddy she kept saying, "Wait!!! wait!! (meaning don't hang up Dad) and after he waited and said,"Okay what sweetie?" she kept going... "Uum ..uum?" all adult like.

What a cutie I had to share.

I guess having a blog and doing facebook is hard for me to keep up on. Probably that and I think I need to change our picture because I am sick of seeing my butt.

I have decided that facebook is a little bit too addicting in a way for me. Maybe it is because our TV has been out for more than a few months now, which actually is nice, it helps me read and not center my life around it. Yet at the same time, it is nice to have the chill to myself time. Facebook has been fun though because I speak a lot more with family and friends I don't get to see often. Anyways sorry it has been a while, we are feeling better now ...which for me means, clean, clean, clean. If I can't even keep this place (not that huge of a place) clean with one child, should I dare think of any additional ones? Well back to the putting away of the laundry.

I know what da doo

We have been sick this week but have had fun with some of Lily's new Birthday dress ups. That is as long as there is a mirror close by so she can see how she looks like, Arella (Cinderella) meaning all of the princesses and pretty girls in the world. She even puts her hand to her chest and says me Arella lately, "No mom me Arella." She also holds the end of her shirt, nightgown or what ever she is wearing to dance in circles and sing....

I never knew I was so into this girly stuff.... but I guess watching princess movies 1 to 2 times a day will brain wash you for sure. Besides that it is so adorable to see Lily be girly. I like her on the large white chair it helps her look younger when she can look so grown up in pictures now days especially this first one.

I am so proud to say I spent about and maybe less then $50 on this party, and the favors were big pink and blue for boys sand pails, and princess or cars stamp/sticker boxes. Gotta love the dollar store and that Lily's birthday is right after valentines day....v-day sale on pink stuff ...yeah!
