Circus Time
We had a great time as a family going to the Ringling Bros & Barnum & Bailey Circus with our friends Isabel and Olivia. This performance was special since it was the Year of the Dragon. The circus always amazes us. Here are some pictures of the "Greatest Show on Earth":
Elephant painting on canvas
We had fun wearing tie-dye t-shirts together
The Tigers and Lions were a hit! And ferocious!

Ballet/Swan Lake
Catching up with some special moments of 2011
About taking ballet classes, let's just say...Cassidy got through ballet. It wasn't always her favorite thing to do. I would encourage her to keep going and it helped that she knew she would be performing in Swan Lake at the end of the three months. Probably her favorite part of dance class each week was when they could run and jump around the room and sit down and push their legs off the wall for fun. She would also run towards me during class and give me kisses and hugs (I actually didn't mind that). Sometimes I wonder if she would have done better without me there though. But I really enjoyed watching.
At the end of her instruction classes she had the chance to be in the "Swan Lake" Production, that Rachael's dance studio puts on. Rachael rents out a high school auditorium. It was a new experience for us all. She loved wearing her ballet costume and was excited about wearing make-up. But then got tired of make-up after a couple of dress-rehearsals before the actual show. She doesn't want to wear make-up until she's much older now except she still loves lip gloss. Daddy's happy about that!
Cassidy did such a good job on stage. She was so cute!

This Spring we went to watch the Spring Ballet performance "Coppelia" to watch Cassidy's friend Hannah perform. Her Ballet Teacher, Jessica played Swanilda. It was a beautiful performance. After the performance Cassidy told me she would like to give Ballet another try. We'll see what her future holds.

Cassidy was able to take Ballet lessons for three months last Spring. Her friend Hannah was in the same class. Welcoming...
Cassidy is excited for all of you to meet her new pet and friend... GEORGE. Oakley our dog, is more of the family's pet who became part of our family before Cassidy was born. George (the Betta fish) only belongs to Cassidy. She is already taking good care of him, and enjoys talking to him. It's probably a friendship that will last forever. It's also a great way to be responsible for something she cares about.

Cassidy's 6th Birthday!
All Cassidy asked for, for her 6th birthday (Gotta love that girl)... a "Happy Face" Birthday cake, a bag of Cheetos, and some Squinkies. Pretty easy for her little heart to be content.
Derek and I decided since it was a "Friend Birthday" this year and we have saved some money, we surprised her with a party at Build a Bear with her friends. She was pretty excited!
On the way to the party...Cassidy was crowded with those happy face balloons and enjoyed every minute!

Here we are at Build A Bear. Derek told Cassidy she could pick out any animal she wanted...no matter what the cost...and the one she picked was an adorable white bear that was the least expensive. We love how content she is with things.
Before the kids added stuffing to their animals they were each given hearts to put inside their animals with a wish and a kiss with love. Each of Cassidy's friends added an extra wish and heart to put in her bear. It was so cute and sweet to see the kids faces on how serious they took it and how tightly they closed their eyes to make a wish for Cassidy and for themselves.

Las Vegas
A LOOK BACK: (January 1-6 2012)
Every January the Promotional Products Buisness Industry puts on a huge Expo in Las Vegas. We try to go when we can. This was our 2nd year going. We were super excited for all the classes we signed up for and the speakers we were going to listen to. We arrived Sunday night and for the next four days from 8am-6pm we were going to be busy learning, learning, learning. In the evenings we were able to enjoy ourselves walking around the strip, shopping at the M&M store, looking at Art galleries, watching the Biaggio water fountain shows, eat out for some yummy terriaki chicken, attend the Phatom of the Opera musical, exploring the different Hotels, eating Haagen-Dazs ice cream (my favorite: Belgian Chocolate), and enjoy some R&R.

The Expo always gives us a good start to the New Year with ideas and goals on being better business owners as well as inspiration on where we want to take our business to. Also during the week we have the chance to associate with other business owners in our industry and learn from each other. We also get to meet our suppliers in person that we deal with on a regular basis from all over the country. And they send us home with so many samples and products that their company offers. The booths from each supplier takes over 2 whole floors of the convention center. We take the first floor on the 3rd day and the second floor on the 4th day. It's a lot of walking but worth it.
One of our apparel suppliers had a $100 cash giveaway, if on the hour they spotted you walking on the floor wearing their designed T-shirt. Well this place was enormous with two floors and so many people we thought, what was the chance of us winning. But we did it anyways. So Derek and I were wearing our matching T-shirts they gave us all day. And towards the end of the day we were talking with another supplier at their booth and heard, "Excuse me? We would like to let you know that you have been chosen for our $100 cash giveaway!"
We were so excited including the model that gave us the news!!! When we got to their booth all the other employees were ecstatic too since we were the first "couple" to win this prize. They had to take pictures of us. It was so awesome! It paid off to wear our shirts. And then the next day Derek won a $50 bill for a drawing. So we left Las Vegas with winning $150 and didn't even have to gamble. :)

The performance, theater, and music was UNFORGETTABLE and ROMANTIC! We only had to pay a total of $20 for this show when normally it was over $100 a ticket. Yeah!!

(pictures don't do justice)
The Fountains of The Bellagio Hotel. Every 15 mins. they had a new show to a new song. As we walked around we had to stop every 15 mins. to watch it. AMAZING and MAGICAL!!
A cool painting from one of the Art Galleries
Pegasus at Caesar's Palace(had to take a picture for Cassidy she really likes these creatures)
Cassidy had her own kind of fun with her Grammy, cousins, Uncles and Aunts.
Below is a video of one of the Fountain Shows we watched at the Bellagio Hotel
