Primary Excitement!

We have our primary program today! My girls were very excited. They got all dressed up for the occassion! Austin was not as excited~ He was a LITTLE grouchy (ok a lot), so he would not pose for a picture. I just hope Ivy is still excited when it is time to say her part in front of all those people!

(Ivy is going through the "can't keep my eyes open for a picture" phase.)
We tried a new hair do for the special day. Turned out kind of cute :) Those squiggley things are their hair!

Wow!!!!

I have been so busy lately that I really haven't had time to blog. I know, where are my priorities? So today I have taken the opportunity to catch up! 3 posts in one day..... WOW! You are the lucky blog readers :)

Here is my post on our trip to the zoo (back in JULY!!!) We went with Aunt Nicki, Kristian, and Grandma Gifford. We had a great time. Unfortunately we planned our zoo trip too early in the year and missed the baby elephant, it wasn't born until August. Maybe we should go back just to see the cute little animal. This is the pregnant mommy (remember elephants are pregnant for 20 - 24 months!)
At the elephant exhibit. Oakland was scared of this elephant giant because it made loud noises and squirted water from his trunk.
But he was oh so happy again when he got a hold of this cute little tiger.... We ended up buying it because he loved it so much.
Every statue we came to the kids wanted to stop and pose for a picture, then they would tell me to make sure and put it on my blog! How funny!
What a cute little gorilla baby she makes.

You can't go to the zoo without going on a train ride, or at least that is what my kids think! Oakland was SO tired by this point he could hardly keep his eyes open.
And a zoo trip is not complete without a ride on the merry-go-round.Ivy, however, could have done without the ride. She was scared to death of it. she wouldn't get on any of the animals so we settled on this boring chair. It still took her half the ride to decide that she was o.k.
Austin was on the other end of the spectrum.... I think he was a LITTLE bored!

We also went to an awesome bird show, a reptile show, played on the playground, ate lunch by the elephants, and saw every animal there was too see! Needless to say they were exhausted when the day was over!

Grandpa's Cabin

One of my favorite things to do during the summer is go to the cabin. Unfortunately, we did not make it up there much this year. I absolutely love how beautiful and peaceful it is up there (if you can tune out the 11 grand kids, 2 barking dogs, and Randy's lawn mower! Ha) I am horrible lately about taking pictures so I only have the three......

Randy mowing the weeds..... Hmmmm..... I know, he is weird!
Oakland having a GRAND ole time in one of the swings grandpa set up for the kids.
Ivy in the other swing..... The kids would have me push them in swings the entire time we were there, if I would let them!
It was a short, but extremely fun trip!

"Stranded at the Drive-in...."

Our ward had a primary party where the kids went to a "drive-in" movie. They had so much fun decorating their "cars" for the big event. We "drove" to the church where they parked by their friends, had snacks, and watched Cars. What a fun idea! My kids had a blast (even Ivy who hates going to anything without her mommy!)
