The Many Reasons We Love Fall

Lipscomb's Fall Festival

This is not a real wound with real blood. The Boy Scouts had a First Aid station where they were praciticing their skills! It was a BIG hit for my guy!

I just LOVE this one! We only had enough cash for 2 Icees so Addie and Daddy got to share...
so sweet!

Leaves, Leaves, & More Leaves

We even made our own leaf maze!!

The Pumpkin Patch

The big Corn Box was a BIG hit!

She found a Lady Bug just for Grammy!

Ok...the real corn maze was a little better than the leaf maze but we are still looking forward to more leaf mazes!

The hayride was ALOT of fun, especially hearing Claire say "WEEEEE" all the way around!
Great Family Time!

Ok...the pictures have finally ended and I think they speak for themselves. I always say at the change of every season that whatever season is coming up is my favorite. I honestly think that Fall is my favorite! Yes, all the seasons are great but there is just something about Fall that I love the most! We took all the pictures this weekend. It was a fabulous weekend with our Fall Fest at school on Friday night...David had to work on Saturday so that was kind of sad (I did get the laundry done so that is a good thing)...Sunday was leaf day followed by the pumpkin patch with Cousin Claire! Now we still get to look forward to MORE leaves (poor David) and cool weather, Fall Break (YAY! for a weekend in Memphis for just Mommy and Daddy), a field trip with Logan's class to the Pumpkin Patch, another Halloween Festival at Grammy and Papa Skip's, Halloween, Thanksgiving, and the beginning of all of the holiday hustle and bustle that I just love! So, YAY! for Fall and all of the blessings it brings!

Fireman Friday

Our sweet Daddy came to school on Friday (his only day off of the week) to spend some time with Logan's Kindergarten class. Logan's class got to go through the Fire Safety House on Thursday. Logan was so excited about the Fire Safety House but he ended coming out of the house early when they turned the "fake" smoke on. He thought that was a bad thing but we told him that really was the smart thing. Sure you should get out if your house starts to fill up with smoke!!! Anyways, David came and brought his gear along with some fun coloring books and stickers. I snuck out of my classroom to see David in action. I was so impressed and the kids really LOVED him! He put all of his gear on for them, including his air pack. We were all impressed. He didn't stop there either. He had lunch with Logan. (He ate 2 bites of the school cafeteria food and was done with that!) Then, he made his way to the 2nd grade hall and put on a little show for all 100 2nd graders! He did great, especially considering how many 7 and 8 year olds he was in front of! They enjoyed it as well!

So, here are the pictures from Fireman Friday at Lipscomb Elementary. You can see that Logan did not leave David's side from the moment he walked in the door. He was so excited and proud! There were even tears when David had to leave for the 2nd grade hall...poor guy! If you are wondering why all the children are in red, white, & blue, Friday was patriotic day at school.

And here is Fireman Dodd with my sweet class...

So, a very BIG THANK YOU and WE LOVE YOU Daddy! You are the BEST!

It's been a LONG time...

since I have sat down to blog. I am motivated tonight (for some strange reason). I thought I would just bring you up to date with the pictures I have taken over the last couple of weeks. Otherwise, I think I might get overwhelmed and turn the computer off!! So, here is a few of the things that we have been busy doing...

Logan worked SUPER hard as a Junior White Belt (he graduated from Cubs) and has now earned his Junior Yellow Belt. Go Logan!!

Grammy and Papa Skip came to visit with a BIG PUMPKIN SUGAR COOKIE from the one and only MERIDEE'S in Franklin. It was YUMMY! (but how would I know??)

Logan got new Scooby "Dude" jammies and Addie got her first Princess Pajama Gown. Oh how I need at least 4 more because I can't convince her to wear anything else! She is totally convinced she is a princess in her real-life!

And this is my favorite...
We took dinner to David at the Fire Station and I just happened to have my camera because I had been on a field trip with my class.

So, I'm a "little" tired but have been feeling better since I am out of the first trimester. The kids just make us so happy and we are so happy to have another. They amaze us with the things they say and do. I have to tell you that this pregnancy is great because Logan actually gets that I have his baby brother or sister in my tummy. He asks me daily how the baby is...what is wants to eat...what it is doing and he constantly reminds me to be careful because he doesn't want me to hurt his baby. He gives me a hug and kiss every night and says "that is for both of you". He has picked out some pretty funny names. It started with Marcus, then it was Elijah, and the best yet has been Harold. So cute!!
Well, I finished another post! I'll try to keep up the trend but I can't promise anything!
