Photo Opp

The jumparoo is Sam's favorite thing right now! He loves it and can really go high in the thing. It's very cute and makes us laugh! So, I picked the camera up to capture a picture of him since he is always so happy.

This is what I got...

Then Logan and Addie had to jump in and this is what I got...

Then Logan had to take a picture and this is what he got...

Since Addie never wants to be left out, she had to get a picture and this is what she got...

When I looked back at these pictures, I just thought it was funny to see the progression of the pictures. It all started with Sam and the big kids just cannot stand to have it be just Sam!

Fun at Ring Farm

My mom and Skip came into town yesterday. They had originally planned to see Logan play baseball and then head to the pumpkin patch. However, Logan's game was cancelled (shocking!!) so we went to lunch and then headed to the pumpkin patch. Their cousin, Madison, was also along for the fun.

We started out at one of our favorite pizza places in town, Snappy Tomato. Logan and Addie love this place because of the chocolate pizza you get for dessert and the bouncy balls they buy from the quarter machines. It's the simple joys of being a child!!

Then we headed to Ring Farm. The past couple years we have gone to Walden Farms in Nolensville and we have always loved it. We usually always go with Claire, Aunt Jenn, and Uncle David too so this year was a little different. We missed them because Claire had a bit of a cold and we decided to stay closer to home at Ring Farm. I must say Ring Farm was fun, fun, fun. They didn't have some things that Walden Farms has but they also had some things that Walden Farms doesn't have, such as a little cotton field for the kids to pick cotton and a BIG SLIDE that was OH SO MUCH FUN FOR ALL!!!

Did you know that I really have 4 kids and the 4th one is 6 feet tall???
Like I said, here is my 4th child coming down the SUPER FUN SLIDE!!! Really, this slide was A LOT OF FUN!!!!! Both Logan and Addie agree that it was their favorite thing. (Ok, David too!)

Ok...I just might agree that it was WAY TOO MUCH FUN!!
I think this picture is precious!!!!
The corn maze was a lot of fun too! We all made it out with a smile on our face!!
Look at little miss priss and her striking a pose...

They had a big mountian of hay for the kids to climb on. Once again, it was fun for all!
This was pretty cool too! It was a corn lancher or something like that. There was a target set up to aim for. It was cool and something different from the usual too.
Here is a picture of our family of 5. I'm very proud that we remembered to get a picture of all of us!!!
It wouldn't be a pumpkin patch experience without the hay ride. This was a hay ride without the hay...funny but just as much fun. It was Sam's first hay ride and he was awake for it. He liked it but it was just a little bit cold by this time.
Grammy and Papa Skip riding with the big kids on the hay ride.
Just TOO CUTE...
And even CUTER...
He is our little pumpkin!
The 3 of them, tired out, with their pumpkins, ready to head home for some hot chocolate.
So, fun was had by all this year at Ring Farm. It was especially nice to have Grammy and Papa Skip along for the fun. Now we are just counting down the days to trick-or-treating...13 days to go...

Just playing catch-up...

Things around our house have been fun but non-stop. I'd love to have the time to sit down and scrapbook the fun. Of course, that doesn't happen these days. Poor Sam's baby book hasn't even been started. I don't feel too bad though because I use our blog as a way to document our memories. Well, I haven't been very good at that lately either. So, tonight I decided I better catch up before I move on with the fun we had today at the Pumpkin Patch. All of these pictures are from the last month or so. As I was downloading all of these pictures (it takes FOREVER), I realized they are all from the weekends. We love the weekends!!!

This is just a cute picture I got one Sunday before church. We actually had a few minutes of down time before we had to walk out the door! That is always amazing!!!

We visited David at a Safety Public Education one Saturday afternoon. The kids love playing on the fire truck but they were even happier to play in a police car. Sorry this picture isn't too clear. David took it with his cell phone. I don't know if you can see their facial expressions but Addie is as happy as can be and Logan is seriously thinking about the fact that he is sitting in a police car.

On another Saturday, we had a lot of fun at Touch-A-Truck. Lots of big trucks for kids to climb on and play on. It was great but there was A LOT of horn blowing going on. It was cute at first but my ears were ringing by the time we left. I think Sam was totally over the horn blowing as well. He didn't let us know. He's still our little easy going baby boy!!

Sam is eating more solids these days. I can't say he is crazy about any of it yet but he is at least eating it. It's a lot of messy, messy fun!

Fall Fest at our school was fun again this year. The kids had a great time!

I just thought this was a cute picture of David and Sam hanging out in my room before the festivities started. It's always a lot of fun to have them come visit!

Logan is playing fall ball this year. He is doing great! He got the first game ball and he was super excited. With this crazy weather we have had this fall, we have had more games cancelled due to rain than we have actually gotten to play. Logan cries now every time one gets cancelled. The boy just wants to play baseball!!!
We made our last trip of the summer to Grammy and Papa Skip's house over Labor Day weekend. A lot of fun was had by all! Addie caught a fish with Papa Skip!! I think that was the highlight of the trip for her. She feels like she can hang with the boys now!!

Sam had a great trip this time too. He came out on the boat with us and loved playing in the sand. He even liked the boat ride for the most part. He also loved sleeping on the boat! We love our Sam!!!
We have also been making the most of the beautiful days! We drove out to the Natchez Trace one Sunday afternoon. We found some great trails to hike and found a great creek to play in.
The kids found this craw-dad (Cray Fish if you want to be technical). This reminded me of Skip. I won't be too specific but Skip had a great way to wake us up early in the morning if we were being difficult. We had a creek in our back yard with craw-dads. A few of them made it into our beds early in the morning when necessary!!

Our attempt at a self-portrait of us together. It's not the best but at least we are in a picture together.
I think I'm almost caught up now! There are a few pictures here and there but they will eventually make it into a post one way or another. Hopefully I'm back on track and will stay on track. I really do love looking back at our memories! What did we ever do without the world of blogging?

Playing School

Logan loves school! He loves it so much that he came home after school today, changed into his cowboy costume, and asked Addie to play school with him. I didn't pay too much attention until Addie came walking through with her backpack saying she was at school. She sat down on the carpet. Logan introduced himself as Mr. Cowboy, the best teacher. They had story time, lunch time, and recess before the day was over. That is my kind of a school day!

The school day even continued after bath. We all snuggled up on the couch to read. Logan pulled this big "speech bubble" out of his bag and attempted to teach Addie about metacognition and why it is important to reading. Here they are grinning through the speech bubble.

I am so thankful that Logan is enjoying school. His teacher has great things to say about him. Right now, he is really into Reading and Science but likes it all! I am hoping he will still be into school in the next 5 to 10 years!
