Baseball

Baseball season is here in full force. We love it! Yes, it is something else to do but Logan really enjoys playing the game, Addie likes the Ring Pops from the concession stand, Sam likes to play in the dirt, David LOVES watching and practicing with him, and I love watching him play while chasing Sam and Addie around.

He has only played coach pitch/t-ball in the past. We were a little nervous about this year because we moved him up to the 7 -8 year old league. He won't be 7 until after the season is over. Despite all of that, he is doing great! He is hitting the balls and is working on the fielding. The fielding is hard but he is learning. He listens to his coaches and really tries to take what they say and put it to use on the field. I'm proud of him and just had to share some pictures...

Playing 2nd base...
Stretching and thinking about hitting a homerun...

He won the Game Ball...(see below to find out how!)
He hit a homerun and I got it on video...

I think it is funny how I am telling him to go faster! HA! GO LOGAN! The Reds (that is his his team) have lost 1 and won 2 so GO REDS!

Go TCAPpers

Williamson County students (along with students across TN, I think) are taking the TCAP test this week. Our school had some of the Globe Trotters come out and get them pumped up. It was the BEST assembly! They did their tricks but they also did some great motivational talking! I stole Logan and got a picture with one. This is "Shorty". He is one of the original ones!

Good luck to all of my fellow teachers and students who are giving and taking TCAP. We are cheering you on and will be super quiet so you can focus!

Thank You Grammy and Papa Skip

We had the BEST SPRING BREAK! We headed over the river and through the woods to Grammy and Papa Skip's after church on Easter Sunday and spent 4 days with them. It really was a great time! I completely enjoyed and took advantage of having my mommy to take care of me!

When we got there, Mom and Skip had a scavenger hunt for the kids to go on and find their baskets. She also hid eggs for them to find. It was fun!

Look at this cool 100 piece puzzle that was with Logan's basket.
When we are at the river, we always find a lot of fun in the outdoors. It isn't time for the boat yet but we still found things to do. David saved this turtle on his drive up the big hill. We held it and then let it go find it's family back in the woods.
This is Charlie! Charlie is the dog I brought home right before my senior year when he was a tiny, tiny puppy. I promised he wasn't going to get big at all and that I would always take care of him. I begged and begged and begged until Mom and Skip said yes. Well, he grew up to be a big dog and then I left to go to college, then got married, and now have a dog of my own along with 3 kids. Mom and Skip are still taking care of him. They are the BEST!

A trip to the river is not complete without fishing. Logan is becoming quite the little fisherman. David and Logan are going to have a good time fishing together this summer!

We celebrated my birthday over Spring Break. Mom and Skip had a little party for me. It was so sweet!!! I requested my mom's spaghetti. Spaghetti is my favorite but there is no spaghetti that tastes better than my mom's. It was SO GOOD! You can see that Sam thought so too!!!!!
Mom had a pretty cake made to help us celebrate. I even got some CUTE, FABULOUS, and FUN presents. Do you see all of the polka dots? I love polka dots! It was so special to celebrate with Mom and Skip. I haven't seen them on my birthday in a long time!
Can you guess how old I am?
THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU Grammy and Papa Skip for making our Spring Break fun and relaxing! Everything about the week was PERFECT! We can't wait to see you again soon...

Easter

This post is late but here you go...

We had a fun Easter. David had to work again but I did manage to get everyone dressed and to church this year. However, it was a crazy morning. I did manage to take pictures of the kids with their Easter baskets but I did not get any of them in their Easter outfits. I cannot believe I did that but I am at least proud to say we did make it to church. And even better than that, I packed us all up (enough for a 4 day trip) by myself, and we made it to my parents' house by that afternoon. So, Easter was a special day not only because it is Easter, but because we got to spend it with my parents. Those pictures will come next. (I promise Mom!)

Sam's 1st Haircut

I finally gave in and took Sam to have his cute, curly baby hair cut so he now looks like a cute, cool big boy (makes me sad!). It was very hard to get rid of his precious, perfect curls. David has been over them for a while but I just recently got tired of seeing him with his hair down to his nose. I know he was tired of it too!

Here you have the before shots. Our children have so, so, so much hair. Logan's hair looked just like this when he was 1. As a matter of fact, if you could not see Little Miss Addie in the back, I could easily tell you this was Logan when he was 1 and it would be very believable.

He started out smiling in the chair...
He did not make a peep or put up a fight in any way. He was just his sweet, happy little self. Seriously, this is so different from Logan's 1st haircut. I think we had at least 3 people holding him down. This was so nice and such a surprise!
Here is our Sam, looking SO BIG with his new hair cut. He is as happy as he always is! Look at that grin!
