Diploma to Degree

Past, Present and Future.

FUTURE
Now that I'm about to start my life as a university student, I think its about time to give myself a preview of what is to come in the next 2 1/2 years or so.

Kampar isn't a big town but it has the biggest private university campus in the country(I think). The distance from my rented house to the campus is not something I will like very much despite having the privilege of having my bike there.

I also heard that most people will have meet fewer new friends there compared to the KTAR days because you don't really have a permanent classmate. As for friends I hope I can socialize better at UTAR. I kinda messed it up at KTAR so hopefully I can make up for it.

As for the Kampar town it is nowhere near as entertaining as Penang obviously. The nearest cinema (from what I've heard) is at Ipoh which is approximately 40 minutes away. But on the upside, Kampar has got some beautiful scenery. Hopefully I can make good use of my camera with that.

So from what I can see, its more of a case of 'make do with what you have' rather than 'enjoy all you can'. Maybe I can study better than way.

PAST
Looking back at my KTAR days, it makes me feel a bit sad. Because I think I've wasted too much time there in front of the computer. Yes, it was good fun playing Half-Life with my year 1 housemates but I also missed out of many other things which could have been great !

Penang island is a place I really like a lot. I enjoyed the food, the lifestyle and even the hill road in Tg.Bungah and Batu Feringghi!which feels like Genting Highlands(everytime after rain.)

The island has got everything. The quite and comfortable houses at Tg.Bungah, a beach to relax at Batu Feringghi,
great food at a variety of places and somewhere you can get drunk and embarrass yourself at UPR.

Kampar will never have these combination. Not even KL can have it.

I had the chance to stay in the island, didn't fully utilize my time there which is regrettable.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
PRESENT
Now, having to give up my life at PG for Kampar I really, really want to make full use of my time as a uni student. I haven't achieved much in my studies, hopefully this time I can stay focus and get some good results.

Friendship Ruined

I might have just lost two of my close friends. With them I've gone through so much with, mostly good times and now it seems those good times are behind us and may not never be again, sadly.

Initially I was worried for both of them. They stopped talking to each other for while. Because both had their own reasons for their actions over an incident and I advised one of them,A, to do the explanation calmly and clearly to E to avoid any unwanted outcome. I feared for their miscommunication but I had leave them to it.

Many weeks have passed, and suddenly, not knowing what was said between them, both pointed fingers at me. Not only that, both tried very hard to find every little fault I've did wrong to them. To make matters worse, instead of confronting me for whatever it is that I'm accused of doing, I was left clueless and stunned by the sudden change of attitude of both toward me.

Disappointed and angered after I found out that both were digging deep and hard to make me look as evil as possible, I still have to hold my nerves and not react wrongly to give the friendship a chance.

Talking about somebody behind their backs is rarely something neutral. You either highlight the good or bad. And as humans, it is very normal for an enraged person to have a rant about whoever it is he/she thinks is wrong.

While I have to admit some of my faults that are said between them are true, what I did was also something they have done before at some point. I was not even given a chance to speak for myself after I'm being accused.

As for now I don't want to do what they did to me because that will make me same as them. I can only try to solve it in another way.

Everybody have their good and dark side. IF all we are looking for is other people's fault then everybody will look wrong.

The Photography Journey Begins

1st of May 2010, the day that I finally got my DSLR. Its the Sony Alpha 550.Which is something in between a beginner & an enthusiast camera. I'm loving it.

A big step forward from a compact camera to a digital SLR.
I am very happy about this. For many people its like a lifetime relationship and I believe I've started mine.

Photography will take me to many places and hopefully it will embrace the possibility of good things to come. :)
