I'm back!

So I went on a major blogging hiatus. I think I just couldn't find the time to blog after spending hours upon hours on facebook. I also kinda felt like all i needed to say I said on facebook. But I have some adoring fans who've been dying to know the happenings of our household so needless to say, I'm back.

Welp that's all i got for noW. i have a stinky diaper to change and two kids that are calling "mom come see us" which can never be good. bye for now. i've missed you all so much.

pharengitis schmarengitis

So I thought i had the flu (no i'm not pregnant) but day three i took a look at my very sore tonsils and found (i'll spare the details). After an hour at urgent care i find out i have strep. How random is that? What am i in elementary school? I guess my mom said i used to get tonsilitis a lot when i was a kid. I feel so so so much better now but I was seriously unable to move (although i had no choice but to function as much as possible). Antibiotics saved my life. Well that's all i gotta say for now. I'm waiting for my screaming baby to fall back asleep. He wakes up every night at 11ish. It's really annoying. And then every couple hours after that. I swear i have the worst sleeping baby on the planet. Why me Lord? Why me?

now this is worth blogging...

I feel kinda silly posting the same pictures here and on facebook but there still are the very few of you (holly,Sarah, not to name names) that are still in the dark and not on facebook so I'll post these for you. Eli is eating people food and I've gotten brave and feed him actual chunks of stuff. No choking yet(which is my biggest fear). I guess i can't puree his food forever. The boy seriously eats like a grown man.So we got this hanging seat at Ikea a while back but never hooked the thing up. We did it today *Valentines day and the kids seriously love the thing. They were just crackin each other up so much and figured out how to spin around and around. I was a little worried at first that all that spinning might make them sick but we did a couple are you dizzy tests and they seemed fine. We decided just to let them at it since they were having so much fun. Well Zeke got out of the swing and started to cough. I didn't think much of it but then all of a sudden he barfs all over the floor. I was frantically yelling at Ben to run him to the bathroom. Ben was immersed in his basketball schmasketball that he didn't even realize what was going on. Zeke hasn't puked since his first birthday and i thought for sure he had the stomach of a rock but i guess not. I'm deathly afraid of barf but am proud to say was able to get right in there and clean it up. Thank God for hardwood floors.
Eli's best bud Hayvn came over for the superbowl. Eli was crackin up at the sight of another little baby his size (well half his size). I was really cute to see them interact.

Well happy Valentines everybody. Hope yours was a happy one. I've been lucky enough to watch four hours of NBA shoot out. Yippee!!! Romance is in the air at the Brown house I tell ya. Basketball, barf, and Nois it doesn't get any better than this.

I got nothin'...

I'm blogging just for the sake (is that the right spelling or is it the Japanese liquor?) of blogging but I'm just not feelin' it right now nor do i have anything really to talk about. Life has gotten easier I think. We've gotten in a groove of some sorts and the kids have been on their best behavior (minus the thirty minute tantrum Zeke had tonight about having ice cream before dinner...he didn't win.) We've been "crying it out" with Eli for the last couple weeks. It has been going pretty good. We had a couple 12 hours of sleep nights but that didn't last long. Now he'll go down without crying but then wake up maybe 5 hours later. I've been getting him because I'm so tired and just want to sleep and if i don't he'll cry for a good 30 minutes, wake the other kids up, and we have a whole household of awake and very grumpy people. It's not worth it for me. But those 4-5 hours straight is way better than the hour and a half he was doing before. It's progress and that's what i was looking for.
Here is a picture of him in his amby bed before he got too big for it. I'm glad I got some use out of that thing. Keep an eye out on craiglist for it in the near future...

We've been loving this nice weather and have been to the beach almost everyday. I feel guilty if I'm not outside or at the beach when it's so nice. We went to the rock after school one day and then the kids rode their bikes along the path over to the candy store. This was their first taste of cotton candy. it was a hit.
I was changing Eli's diaper but he's so stinkin' hard to keep still so i gave him the baby powder to play with. Somehow he managed to open the powder and dump it all over his face and in his mouth. He literally was choking on the powder. After some serious panicking on my part Eli made it through unscathed.

So anyway nothing really monumental going on in the lives of the Brown family. We're just trying to get by month to month until Ben figures out how to make millions doin' what he do or I win the lottery (which I've been playing on a regular basis) whichever comes first.

There's nothing cuter than a laughing eli!

I'm loving this new video camera it got. It's so easy to use and upload videos so you may get tired of my numerous video posts. This video was just too cute not to share. i love it when Eli laughs (or any baby really.) And it's way better than crying. I'll take laughing any day.

Dang it! Zeke just woke up. *update* Christmas with the Brown's...

So goes my blogging luck. Every time i try and post something one of my children has to ruin it!

Okay I'm back. Two days later and all three kids in bed by 7! I'm sure one (or all three) will wake up in the next minute or so. I can bet my life on it actually. We had a good Christmas. It was a very short holiday vacation (one day to be exact). Both Ben and I worked Christmas eve and the day after Christmas. LAME-O! The kids cashed in however. The best present by far this year was Zeke's balance bike that Eli is riding in the video above which I recorded on my new flip mino! Thank you mom. Zaiah loved Zeke's balance bike (it has no pedals or training wheels so kids push with their feet and learn to balance on two wheels) so much that Ben had to turn her bike into one. Now the kids ride everywhere on their bikes. It's been fun. Oh and Zaiah's big present was her leapster which she totally loves but so does her brother Zeke! So what ended up happening? They fought and fought and fought over that thing. Lots of tears were shed on that leapster. So my amazing mom went and bought Zeke his own leapster. It's leapster heaven in this house now. I just need to buy two of everything just to keep the peace in this house. You'd think i had twins!

Zeke with his pirate patch (already lost) and his pirate telescope with red flash light (that was a hit).
Baby Ewi (as Ozzy says it) and his most annoying toy ever. A little activity table that has the most annoying sayings like "I'm the garden caterpillar" in the most annoying horrible English accent that says it over and over and over again. I want to smash that thing with a hammer.

When you asked Zaiah what she wanted for Christmas she would go on for a good minute describing this singing barbie head. I think she's played with it once since Christmas. This picture was taken on Christmas eve of the kids in their dorky Christmas footie jammies that i picked out for them. I figured every kid needs footie jammies on Christmas no matter how big they are.

Well Christmas morning they changed out of their footie jammies and put on normal clothes. I was so sad. When i was growing up I would get so mad at my mom or dad if they took a shower or got dressed before we opened presents. My parents know better now.

where has the time gone aka december in a nut shell

Every time the kids see one of these manikins they go up to them and pretend it's their mom. I wish i looked like that.
Don't have anything to say about this picture besides, "awesome."

This picture is almost too cute for me too look at. I'm melting as we speak! Every time Eli sees the camera he smiles. My good little boy.

This was taken at Nois after the Los Osos Parade (if you could call it that).

Two boys riding a bike around the nursery.

That's my dad. He had a heart attack about a week ago. It was the scariest moment of my life when i came home from volleyball and Ben told me he was in the hospital. He spent 3 days in the ICU. He's okay and is doing a lot better now. I'm not ready for my dad to go yet. He's a huge part of our family and my kids are absolutely in love with him. Makes me appreciate every second I'm with him now.

That's Jasmine. She's my brother's girlfriend and she and my brother came to visit this December. My kids were so in love with her.

And last but not least this is Zaiah picking out our Christmas tree at Rite Aid. I wanted to go to the tree farm and cut one down and sing Christmas carols and roast marshmallows blah blah blah but in the end it came down to how much and can we fit it in our car. We didn't even open this one up. We just threw it in the front seat and brought it home. It was perfect.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. GOd bless us EVERYONE!
