And in NO particular order because I am SOOOO behind on my blogging AND I don't want to try and fix every picture AND I want ALL these pictures for my blog book that will be made at a WAY later date AND......
In July daddy and I went camping to Palisades, Idaho. We met
Kennon and Cheri and Jeff and Danyell. It was a fantabulous time! We got up there on Thursday night and just enjoyed some visiting and hot dogs. Well they were actually GIANT hot dogs that Cheri shared with us. Then of course some marshmallows.
The next morningish we headed for the lake in Jeff's toy boat. We had fun! Maybe that's because I didn't have to get in the water and I didn't see any sharks but we did see an Eagle. Beautiful!

We made Danyell sit outside to read where she would be closer to the sharks than me.
This is Danyell's first time pulling the boat! Woot for her!
Daddy and I
This is how REAL men untangle fish.
THEN......
That night we went to BAR J! I could go here EVERY year!
"Grandma" came (from the jail) and told the story of Rindercella.
Just before the show started they called this girl up because she won the "door prize". There IS not door prize. But this is an even better surprise!
The next morning the others went out on the boat and we headed to Jenny Lake. We decided to hike around the whole lake and up to Hidden Falls. It ended up being about EIGHT miles. It was beautiful! The whole experience took us about FIVE hours.
Let me back up a sec. Before we left camp we had a prayer and in the prayer we asked that if there was anyone that we could help that day that we would be in tune with the spirit and heed the promptings. Then on we went. Actually I forgot about the prayer. (Is that bad?)
Any way here we go......
such a crisp shadow
Notice the color of the shirt....I'll explain later.

We passed this family about half way around the first part. It reminded us about one time when we took our girls hiking when they were puppies. We were unprepared for the distance and thus made our kids suffer. One of them had heat exhaustion and the others were not feeling very well either. Daddy had to carry one back. Needless to say that never happened again.....at least while they were young.
Anyway...when we passed this family we decided to wait for them a little ways up and see if they needed help. The dad was carrying the child carrier already and mom had to give her backpack to the oldest child so she could carry then next youngest. I ended up with the back pack and the little girl walked RIGHT next to me the rest of the way to the falls. She was stuck to me like glue and talked up a storm. She was so cute! I asked if they knew
Tauna because they were from the same area. They didn't know her.
Moving on......
We enjoyed our time with this little family and we enjoyed the falls too.
What a great hike!
Now..remember that pink shirt picture....
Well it so happens that a bloggy friend that will remain
NAMELESS (only because I made her feel bad enough) saw what she THOUGHT was me so she did some spying and snapped this picture. THEN she sent me an e-mail a couple of hours later asking if I HAPPENED to be at Jenny Lake? Well, yes I was. I wish she would have stopped me so we could have had our pictures taken in our MATCHING shirts!!!
This is
HER and her hubby.
LOL....maybe next time.
On the way home from there at the last screeching moment I asked daddy to pull in a campground so we could check it out for future reference. We ran in to some men that were from our Stake and they had a flat tire. We had a tire pump that we helped them get air in the tire and the spare and sent them on their way home with the pump.
We had a great day! Then we got thinking about the prayer that we had that morning. Remember, the part about being led to anyone that needed our help? Well we were on cloud 9 for heeding the promptings we had that day. We always feel better when we help others. We didn't think about it all day until the day was about done. No wonder we had such a good day. It was little acts of service on our part but maybe a blessing to those we helped.
What if we ALL went about our day EVERY day to FIND someone who needs our help, no matter how big or small? Wouldn't it be wonderful!
