Today's Thought

"Neither Satan nor any other power can weaken or destroy your growing character. Only you could do that through disobedience. That is why Satan is so intently focused on tempting you to make decisions that will undermine your character. Satan is an accomplished master at making devastating choices appear attractive, even reasonable. So be careful. At this critical time of life you will be faced with many choices. The decisions you will make will profoundly affect life now and for eternity. Make them wisely and prayerfully."

General Conference

We had the opportunity to attend Saturday morning General Conference this October.

 ETERNITY!!!
I get to spend eternity with this man!!

Kevin and Lisa (Doran's sister) were able to come up from Arizona with Jeremy and Alissa. (Nathan is serving a mission in Illinois Chicago West Mission.)

When we found out we had the same day and time tickets we decided to meet up and have lunch.
Then they came home with us for the rest of the weekend.

I also got to meet some of Jenny's family.
(Yonder, is getting married soon and BYU-I just started school in Idaho)

I just met (IN PERSON!!!) Jenny a few weeks prior to General Conference.
She stopped by on her way back from taking BYU-I to school!
She will never know how much that meant to me.

The other yeahwho's are Gwynne (she was serving her mission in our area and finished her mission the first part of September and is now attending BYU-I as well. She is down for a visit.) April is in our ward and a very dear friend.

What a grand conference!

Sunday Nap

Chelsea writes on her Face Book:

This little boy waited for hours to go to Grandpa and Grandma's house today.
Then this is what he does when he gets there.

Grandpa set up the car track for Brayson and set down for a minute after his Sunday meetings.
Grandpa fell asleep and then Brayson climbed up on his lab and did like wise.

They are so dang cute!

Jardine Juniper

Oh my gosh! Our life is just slipping by so fast and I don't have any thing written down.
Every time I get in my car I am constantly thinking of things that I need to write down or blog about and yet when I get to a computer I don't do it.
This is my only "journal" and Daddy doesn't write in his.
Our posterity will be so disappointed.

Last weekend Daddy and went on  HIKE UP (5.2 miles) to Jardine Juniper in Logan Canyon.
We then RAN DOWN.
It took us two hours to hike up
and one hour to run down.

We both darn near turfed it once or twice.
I'm pretty sure I will lose at least one toenail.

Daddy was a stud.
We over packed, like we always do, but then again maybe not.
Years ago we went on this for the first time not knowing what to expect,
and the only thing we had with us was a partially full Mt. Dew.
Our plan was to just go a little ways.

Every time we saw someone they would say,
"Oh you're almost there. Keep going."
Not a smart idea.
By the time we got up there we had no water, it was hot and we still had to come down.
There was a couple there that was enjoying a green apple.
I wanted Daddy to give them $10 for an apple. But we just headed back.
From then on we are always prepared and more so, in case we need to share with others.

We had a wonderful day together!
And totally enjoyed the two hour nap when we got home.
I love this guy and the many things we enjoy doing together.
I have more pictures and video on our new GoPro but I thought I better get this posted rather than wait until I got that loaded.

I can't wait for our next adventure!!
