First the story, then the pictures. Monday night Sara was driving home and was going through an intersection on a green light. Another driver was coming off the freeway and went through the intersection right into her. Sara briefly saw the white car and hit the gas and turned the wheel to avoid any oncoming traffic. The other driver never hit the brakes. For whatever reason, Sara's Jimmy rolled at least 3 times blowing out almost all the windows and tires and traveling a long distance. She landed right side up! The first person to stop was a nurse. Sara couldn't get out of her door so she had to climb in the back passenger seat and climb out there. The nurse checked her out and an ambulance arrived right away and they checked her out --- miraculously all ok. It was if Jimmy (her GMC Jimmy that we call Jimmy) held her in a protective bubble. Due to her hitting the gas and turning she wasn't T-Boned. No idea why she rolled but saved her from serious injury. She had just left her boyfriend's aunt's house and she called him right away. I think he broke a land speed record getting there. Lane had her call me as soon as the paramedics had checked her. I couldn't believe that she was fine after rolling when she told me about it on the phone. It made no sense. The tow truck drivers said the broken glass spread for a mile. It filled 2 buckets full which they said rarely happens. Sara had lots of tiny glass pieces in her hair, ears, clothing. Thankfully Sara is fine other than emerging soreness. She was calm and collected all through talking to paramedics and police officers. She went to her doctor today just to be sure. We took care of all the DMV and insurance stuff then went to collect her stuff out of Jimmy and say goodbye. Sara, Lane and his dad had put so much love and attention into restoring him from major neglect. For those that have questioned her having a mini SUV and an older model 1993, well, he did his job admirably. No air bag meant she wasn't hurt due to her having to sit so close to steering wheel because of short legs. Heavenly Father was truly watching out for her and protecting her. The other driver only suffered from severe seat belt burn. Truly a miracle. Now for the pictures.
It started to poor rain for this picture
Ok, I am done now with kid adventures.
