IT'S A GIRL!!!

So for you all that voted girl you were right. We are excited to be fortunate enough to have both a girl and a boy to experience. Everything else with the ultrasound was great and looked right on schedule. My due date did move up 2 days to July 10th which is exciting. Alex seems a little excited about having a baby sister but hasn't weighed in with any names. We'll keep you posted on the name game.

Late News is better than no news

I know, I know...I never put anything out here. I'll try to do better. Here is a photo from when we took Alex to ride the train in Calera. He had a great time and Santa made his day.
Also some exciting news that most probably already know, but we are expecting another little one. I'm due July 12th and we are supposed to find out what it is on Feburary 1st. So in about 2 weeks we'll know whether Alex is going to have a little brother or little sister. Just like the first time we just hope for a healthly child since that is the best blessing of all. I'll be adding widget so you can vote on what you think we'll be having.

A few pictures

We visited Callaway Gardens last weekend and had a wonderful time. We took our bikes and "cart" as Alex calls it and rode a good bit of the day with alot of stops for little hands to explore. We went to the butterfly center and it was a big hit with the exception of Alex wanting to blow/scare all of the butterflies that came close.

This weekend we visited a pumpkin patch and LaFayette. We had a great time and they had so many things to do for the kids. We also went to see our nephew Cole play football. He did great and Alex was excited to see his cousin play. Although he couldn't quite figure out all the stuff he had to wear.

He loved the bunnies. I had to admit they were really cute. They also had baby goats that were just adorable. One actully was licking Alex's finger and the next thing I knew his thumb was in the goats mouth. Luckily he didn't bite him.

On the hayride with mommie and daddy.

With the weather being a little cooler in the mornings it has been hard trying to dress Alex for school. I put him on a hoodie for the first time last week and he was fascinated with the hood.

General cuteness. He found Doug's hat that he has had since I've known him. Needless to say the hat has seen better days.

Cat in the Hat!!

With Dr. Suess' birthday being this week, they made hats at school to celebrate.

Alex was more than happy to wear it for me.

Not making any promises....

Although I got us caught up last time to October, I've decided to skip ahead and start with the here and now. Every once in a while I may try to go back and blog about something special.

We started "swimming" lessons on Tuesday of this week. We had a great time. It was a pretty big class and he loved watching all the other kids playing.

This was him floating on his back. We sang several songs and even put our heads under water. He didn't mind it at all.

1st Haircut

This picture doesn't really go with the 1st Haircut pics, but it does show how full his hair is.

This was pretty much the day I decided he had to have a haircut. He wakes up happy most days, but was upset when I went back to get the camera. You can see in the following photos that he gets back to his cheerful self rather quickly.

Too bad he had the pacifier in or you could see that sweet smile.

Right before we left to get his hair cut. I was getting a little annoyed with having to tell everyone that "she" was a "he".

My 2 favorite guys!!!

Sitting in the chair like a big boy. Even though he started out like that, it soon turned to mommie holding him.

After the haircut and eating a snack.
