March 2013

We had an exciting March.  Kian started rolling over, playing more and he got his first tooth.  Dallin dressed up as an animal rescuer for career day at school, and had fun playing soccer.  Amos had fun doing learning activities at home and playing with his brothers.  We had our annual March Madness Family Home Evening and the basketball fairy brought everyone new Duke shirts.  We had Spring Break and so we went to Cabela's, played at a few different parks, enjoyed the warm weather in our own backyard, went to the Dallas Zoo, Dallin fed a lorikeet, we finger painted with green pudding, and the boys had fun coming up with entertaining ways to complete their chores.  We dressed up for St. Patrick's Day while we were in California.  We had so much fun in California with some family.  It was a nice month with a lot of nice weather.  We had fun going to parks, and going on nature walks.  We finished off the month celebrating Easter.
We went to California.  Grandma and Grandpa Washington, Uncle Todd, Uncle Bryan, Aunt Lara, Sara and Blake joined us.  We had a lot of fun spending time with them.  The boys loved seeing all the new things in California and spending time with cousins.  We loved the Mormon Battalion, Disneyland, California Adventure, Sea World, the beach, swimming at the condo, and seeing sea lions.  Dallin loved getting soaked by an Orca, Amos was so excited to go to Cars land, and Kian saw the ocean for the first time.  It was a great trip.
We had a wonderful Easter.  The boys loved going on Easter Egg Hunts, coloring eggs, and getting a basket from the Easter bunny.  All the Hansen boys got and wore matching ties to church.  Kian got to try solids for the first time on Easter.  We are so blessed to have these 3 boys in our family.

February 2013

We had a fun Valentine's Day.  Melissa, Amos, and Kian went to help at the Valentine's party for Dallin's class.  Dallin loved getting Valentine's ready for his friends at school.  That night we had a fun dinner filled with a table full of hearts, heart shaped pizza, red m&m, white and milk chocolate cookies.  The kids loved opening packages from grandparents and the mailboxes to find valentines and treats.
In February we had a lot of fun.  Doug made us some football shaped no bake cookies, Melissa made some football pizza bites and other yummy food.  The boys had fun watching the game with their Dad.  The boys helped Daddy build shelves for the playroom and they loved filling them with toys when they were done.  The boys had fun going down the stairs with a cardboard box.  Dallin got to wear a shirt with 100 things on it and he decided he wanted 100 animals and dinosaurs on his shirt.  Melissa and the boys went to the zoo for Presidents Day.  We enjoyed watching Duke basketball games.  Amos loved doing preschool activities and crafts with mom.  Kian kept growing and learning new things all the time.  Kian had really bad eczema and for a while it seemed everything we tried made it worse, luckily we found something that worked and his face started to look so much better.  We went as a family to the Children's Aquarium and the boys loved touching the sting rays and seeing all the sea animals.

Dallin's 6th Birthday

Dallin turned 6 years old.  He had such a fun birthday.  He loves animals and dinosaurs and he decided that he wanted to have a sea animal birthday this year.  Mom, Amos, and Kian went to take him lunch at school for his birthday.  Then we had a family birthday party when Dad got home from work.  Dallin loved opening up his presents and eating his sea animal birthday cake.  The Saturday after his birthday we had an Under the Sea birthday party with his friends from church and school.  Dallin loved his birthday!

January 2013

In January we went to see the trains at North Park in Dallas and we went to the Perot Museum (the new Nature and Science museum that opened in Dallas).  Melissa and Amos had fun playing in the snow while Dallin was at school, luckily we made a little snowman and Dallin was able to make it into snowballs after school.  Dallin received an award at school, kept busy with schoolwork and playing as much as he could.  Amos had fun playing in the rain and doing learning activities with mom, taking care of Babe while Dallin was at school, and playing.  Kian turned 3 months and started smiling more and more and found his voice.
