Why does Ethan always have these looks on his face and why does Olivia never have clothes on?? Wouldn't you love a sister who threw books on you in your swing when your mom wasn't looking?

Winter Wonderland
Ok..what is going on?? Last week we were at the park all week and this morning we woke up to lots of snow. Now that Olivia can open the door she comes and wakes us up. This morning we heard her run out to the living room and look out the window and we heard "wow..snow". She ran back to her room and I bet Mike what she would bring in to us...I won...her snow boots were in hand. After I got Ethan down, I bundled her up and out we went. She was in heaven with all the fresh snow she could eat to her hearts content. We even built a mini snowman and made a snow angel which she thought was pretty funny. Topped off the morning with some hot chocolate and my girl couldn't have been happier.

Bathtime
Ethan is starting to love bath time and is even giving us a few grins here and there. They always seem to be directed at Olivia & Mike. I think he still thinks of me purely as a food source..I'm not funny at all yet. Perhaps one day I'll be grin-worthy.

Olivia Funnies
*****Today as we pulled into Costco Olivia started clapping and said, "Yeah, hot dog!!!"
*****On Sunday I was trying my hardest to keep Olivia entertained during sacrament meeting long enough to make it past the closing prayer and off to the "kids" as Olivia calls nursery. I got out the "I-spy" pouch I made which is full of several clear beads and small items for her to find. I was asking her what each thing was when we came to a match. She thought for a second and then looked up at me and said, "Daddy, poo-poo". I about lost it. The things they catch onto. (Don't worry, I asked Mike if I could share this)

Spring Cleaning...
Every Saturday Mike and I have been embarking on a Spring Cleaning Project. Last week we did our closet and I just had to get some pictures of Mike's t-shirts and argyle socks. These were the t-shirts he KEPT mind you. We organized them by color and they looked great for probably about 24 hours. And come on 11 pairs of argyles???? What a funny husband I have. And I did my kitchen...look at those sparkling appliances. I love this time of year!

What do you get when you cross 1 mom with only 2 hands, 1 camera, 2 kids, 1 sink bath and 1 child insisting on "cheese" (translation: Please take our picture)? You get some serious classic pictures and one crazy mom who is trying to protect Ethan from the wrath of Olivia and take pictures at the same time.

Sick.....
This girl is seriously not clean. Isaac is often seen pointing at her and saying "messy". We go through at least 3 bibs a day and a couple outfits. I guess that is what I get for letting her feed herself.

What a day....
Yes, it is 11:15 and I really should be in bed but instead I feel the desire to blog. What is this world coming too? We had another busy day with crazy Olivia. Ethan is a piece of cake even if he does prefer to only be held. I can't keep up with her. We started our day off with me finding her in the bathroom with her diaper halfway off saying pooh-pooh. Well...at least she's interested right? I set her up there only to discover she had some bodily gases to expose of. Good try Olivia. A couple minutes later I hear water splashing and I go in to find her care bear is going "potty". Oh my..you'd think I'd learn my lesson and close the door..but no... her baby was soon to follow. Next up lunch time. Please tell me what child does not like PB & J sandwichs?? Mine. It's been awhile so I thought I'd try again and nope..still hates them. So I'm sitting there trying to feed Ethan while making her a second lunch as I'm scarfing down her first one it's so delicious. Finally I got her to eat Graham Crackers and Milk (why did I teach her this?) and a yogurt. So healthy. After her nap we had one of those hours that just make being a mom all worth it. I was in and out of the laundry room while her and Ethan were in her room "playing". I heard him start to fuss and in my head I was wondering what did she do to him. Instead I go in to find her next to him sweetly talking to him telling him it was ok and hi buddy. Her nose was so close to his mouth I thought it was going to get eaten off but she was proud as punch she'd made him stop crying. She is just so sweet to him I can hardly stand it. Overly sweet if you count all the times I find him completely covered in blankets and have to gently remind her while that is very nice we do not cover his face. Aughh..I'm off to bed to recharge this mommy's batteries as I'm sure my patience will grow again tomorrow. Good night!

Her shirt says it all.....
This girl really does love her daddy. I've had these pajamas forever and am so glad they finally fit her. Olivia has turned into a chatterbox overnight and has a constant conversation running all day long with me. Luckily she is pretty easy to understand and is getting very vocal about her opinions. I love watching her be such a big girl...kind of melts my heart.

My Sweet, Sweet Husband
I was having a really rough day last week that I thought would never end. I finally got Olivia down for her nap and was feeding Ethan when the doorbell rang. I just ignored it, but the person was persistent and kept knocking so I finally got up......and what a surprise. There was this big beautiful bouquet of flowers and I seriously had no idea who they were from. I just thought it was maybe someone for the baby. I opened the card and just started bawling. It made my whole day seem not so bad. I am so grateful for a sweet husband who is such a good helper, father and husband. We love you Mike!

Time Flies....
I can't believe it has almost been 2 weeks since my last post...shame on me. I am probably losing all my faithful readers. Ethan is already 5 weeks old and I can hardly believe it. He is such a sweetie and only fusses when he is hungry, wet, poopy or sleepy...oh wait that is when all babies fuss. He is just starting to get some chunk on his legs and I can't wait. I'm over the scrawny newborn stage...ready for some pudge. Olivia just loves him to death and is often heard saying, "Hi buddy". I promise to be a more frequent poster.
