She Loved It!!!
We went home full and happy. Good memories! Had to get some carnival folk up in the mix for you. Mullets were plentiful, hoochie mamma outfits a must, cops on people movers made me laugh, grimey kids galore....aughh, makes you all wish you were there!

Some yummy food
They loved the ice cream and snow cones to finish off the evening. Ethan was very serious about learning all he could about the carnival and wishing he could go on all the rides with his sister. Maybe next year buddy!

Strawberry Days Carnival
Oh how Mike and I love the carnivals... We love Navajo Tacos, the Texas Tornadoes, Funnel Cakes, Snow Cones, you name it..we love carnival food. And we love the rides, the atmosphere, and the crazy people you see. Hopefully we will pass onto our children our love of carnivals. Here is the start....

Isaac & Livi
I couldn't pick a favorite so you're getting them all. These two seriously are like siblings and have a serious love/hate relationship. They can go from fighting to laughing in 2 seconds. They were making me laugh so hard this morning while Leah was out running some errands. Could Olivia have any crazier of faces? I love that they have each other.

Morning Ritual
I had to go into work early the other morning to do a few things. The kids woke up right before I left and so I plopped them in our bed and turned on Disney Channel. Here they are binkies and blankies and Daddy so asleep he didn't even know I took this picture. We need a bigger bed I think.

Mike's Photography
Mike had the kids the other night and he took these shots. He said I probably wouldn't like them because of all the shadows, but little does he know I love them. He captured Olivia so perfectly. She certainly has her challenging moments as all 2 year olds do, but I love her infectious personality and giggly laugh. I love when she smiles and you can see her 2 little teeth poke out over her lip. I love that she has red in her hair and so many of Mike's other characteristics. She is kind and sensitive, yet spunky and fun. We love you Olivia!

Amberli

Here is Amberli, the other half of Darek/Amberli, our "Boston Friends". We were practically inseparable the first 2 years of marriage before they headed back east. We took a trip out there last summer and they come here a couple times a year to visit family. We love when they come into town. We love that nothing ever changes, besides the number of kids. I love that Darek and Mike stay up until the wee hours playing video games while Amberli and I crash in our bed and watch chick flicks. I love that we will be friends until we're old and gray.

DETOUR
Amberli was in town last week and we had so much fun chauffeuring her around! I could get used to having a Mother's Helper! One day we went to Jen's to swim and not 100 feet later we realized we had a flat tire. Mike had to come help us because I could not get the jack out as this is the cars first flat tire and it was so tight in there. I did get the lug nuts off by myself and Mike was quite impressed. Luckily Olivia read her books and Ethan fell asleep so it was not so bad. We just missed out on more friend time.

Happy Belated Father's Day Post
My blog has been neglected lately so this is a very belated Father's Day Post. I seriously have great examples of Father's in my life. I am so grateful for Mike this Father's Day. He is such a kind and fun dad. Olivia shakes with excitement when she hears him coming up the stairs. I love that he will play with her for hours and takes her on daddy-daughter outings. I know they will always be close. Oh my gosh..I just forgot about Ethan. He loves him too.
We made Mike breakfast in bed. Some fancy stuffed French toast and strawberries. He got to sleep in late and even had a nap too! He got a new golf club that he wanted...surprise! We love you Mike!!!

Night at Seven Peaks
Last Friday we hit up Seven Peaks for some family fun. It was one of the hottest days of the year so far and it was so refreshing. Olivia even let me take her down a big water slide and we had so much fun. Ethan is such a big boy in his trunks and flip flops. Follow it up with some DQ blizzards and we had a great night.

"Mommy, He Yikes It"
The other day I heard this and turned around to find Ethan's lying on his back trapped while Olivia shoved the bottle in his mouth. She really does mean well....... Look at those eyes he is giving her! He should be giving them to me since I am taking a picture and continuing to let her do it.

Recent Faces of Olivia
Rain=MUST WEAR BOOTS MOM!!! Not to mention the obsession with her "boat t-shirt" It's the t-shirt my parents made for our family reunion last year. She requests it or the dolphin t-shirt every night for jammies.
