Summer??

We had so much fun today. Our high temp was 78 degrees....HEAVENLY. It was so hot the kids wanted to bust out the slip and slide and kiddie pool. It was cold, but they loved it. Well...Ethan did after Liv let him have a turn (See picture)

Did I mention I have the cutest neighborhood kids EVER??? We are so lucky to live in such a wonderful place. And please notice my blossoming trees.

We are official!!!!

Ethan has been pee trained for a couple of months. Pooping was another story! He would wait until I would put a diaper on him or hide and do it in his pants. It was horrible!! I remember thinking he would never go in the toilet. Well, he does all thanks to Tom and Jerry (his latest obsession). I bought a 3 pack at walmart and after 5 poops he got one. Best $11.99 I ever spent. It did the trick, we're fully done and he just does it all on his own. Wow, no diapers for the first time in 5 years. I need some more diapers to change.

These made me so happy today. Right out of my yard. Can't wait for this all summer long!

Hobble Creek Canyon Bike Ride

On Saturday we drove up to the golf course with some friends and rode down the canyon all the way to our house. It was 5 miles and so fun. I told Mike we need to invest in some bikes ASAP! The kids did great for their first time; minimal crashes, no blood. Ethan and Claire rode behind Anna in the trailer. Things were great until Claire was out of smarties and Ethan had more. Let's just say Anna rode ahead and got home ASAP. Note to self: bring more smarties and less tired children.

**Binky Update**

Tonight as I was brushing Livi's teeth I heard Ethan go in the laundry room and open up the door to the garage. In his version of a whisper I hear, "Binky Fairy, give me BACK my BINKY!! I am still a baby." He closed the door, came back in and I never heard another word. It was hilarious.

Bye Bye Binkies....

I know I should be embarrassed to admit this, but I'm not. Ethan still uses a binky. (ONLY at bedtime and when he sneaks it without me seeing) He is 3 years, 3 months and uses a binky. I like to justify it by saying I have lots of orthodontists in the family. But really I was worried my dream sleeper would go adios. Well, I'd finally had it. Tonight we talked about it and said no more, we're calling the binky fairy. We called, he was fine, went to bed fine and he'll have a fun present waiting for him in the morning.......that was WAY too easy. Please don't be a fluke.

A Good time to be had by all
The St. George Crew was out of town, but we were desparate to get out of town for Spring Break so we went down anyways. We stayed at Mike's sister Michelle's who was out of town and had THE BEST TIME. The weather in May is perfect and I can actually stand to go outside. We filled our weekend with lots of fun.
Lots of trampoline time for kids and adults.
Me thinking I am still 14 on the Thomas's tramp
Me remembering mid air I am now 30 and have the triple chin to prove it.
Foil dinners and s'mores.
Hair+Marshmellow=problems
We went on a fun hike. Kids spent whole time bumming rides off of us. I spent whole time scanning the area for snakes. LUCKILY we were snake-free.
It was so gorgeous and perfect weather.
Saturday we went to Sand Hollow with the rest of Southern Utah. Luckily it is huge and kids had plenty of sand to themselves. Still not used to this desert beach business.
Ethan wouldn't look up long enough from digging to get a decent pictures and Livi was VERY SERIOUS about her sand castles. Ethan did this for what seemed like an hour. Dirty then clean, over and over and over again.
and laying out......I'm still working with her on the tan line concept.
View from my towel laying out while these two entertained. It was heavenly to have an extra body around!
Orphan Annie and her brother eating breakfast on the patio.
This is how I found Ethan while we were packing the car. We were all so exhausted.
And it wouldn't be a trip down south without stopping in the see Grandma and Grandpa Dover in Cedar City. We stopped at an OLD drive-in for dinner that was around when Mike was a kid. We were way to overtired and silly. That was a good thing since they forgot to start our order (??)
Little Orphan Annie was NOT IMPRESSED with the service at all.
But this one....always up for a good time no matter what. This still makes me roll everytime I look at it. Thanks for coming Kate....we love you!

Don't Expect to hear much from me.....

Not that you expected to anyways. Cannot even tell you how happy this makes me. My garden may survive after all.
