WOW!!!! Time is flying by!!!

I was talking to maid of honor Heather last week, and we were discussing events that are coming up. While we have a lot of the major pieces of the wedding in order, there are a lot of other things to take care of, most of which we will deal with after the holidays. So much exciting stuff is ahead: ordering invitations, finding the right shoes and accessories for myself as well as the girls, doing our registry, seeing the bridesmaids' dresses made, having my own dress altered and my portrait taken. Then we have showers, listening to bands and the all important caterer taste test.

Wow, there is a lot left to do! I always have people at work and then friends ask about our wedding plans. They always enjoy telling me about their weddings, and some of the things that they have learned from them. One thing that I have learned overall is just to let things happen on the big day. If something goes wrong, then we have a good story to tell our children some day. If not, then we still have a good story. It is so hard to believe that it is less than eight months away! I'm looking forward to the adventures (or as I like to say, the misadventures) of the next several months!
