It's Been Eight Months!

Today is our eight month anniversary! I am celebrating by being up in Denton all day (8 until 8), seeing clients, getting supervision, reviewing therapy videos and catching up on my reading for tonight's group supervision. I would not recommend that as a good celebration. Oh well, at least I have my new Ipod toy with me to keep me entertained in the car! Happy eight month anniversary, David!

Here it is!

Here is our new bedding! I still can't upload a picture, so I found it on the Dillards website, and typed in the appropriate HTML code so it'll show up. We don't have all of those pillows, just the striped shams and one set of beige pillows. However, we do have the comforter, bed skirt & sheets. What do you think? Did I choose well?

New Bedding!

Friday afternoon, I headed out to Dillards to buy some pillows for our guest room. While I was there, I called David to ask if he had any other requests from Dillards. He suggested that I get some bedding for our bedroom. I was a little apprehensive about picking something out by myself, but I was given the go-ahead. David said if he didn't like it, it would be his own fault.

The pattern that we had registered for had been discontinued, so I couldn't get that. I looked around for quite awhile, then found something else that I really liked. It's a beige & navy blue striped comforter, with a beige dust ruffle, beige pillow cases & sheets, and striped pillow shams. I was looking for a navy blue pillow to also go on the bed, however I couldn't find any. I did however, get hit in the head with a couple of other pillows that fell down from a shelf. Who else but me gets attacked by pillows?

I finally used up the remainder of our gift certificates buying all this stuff. Lugging it out to my car was really fun. It's not that they were heavy, it's just it was all so bulky. Luckily, I wasn't parked too far away.

When I got home, I decided to set up the bed, so it'd be ready when David got home. Putting on the dust ruffle was an interesting task. We have a queen sized mattress, which is quite heavy. I'd hold it with one arm, and shove the dust ruffle with the other. I was able to push the mattress around to put it on each side. It was really hard to get it in the right place. Next time, David is going to do it! I think our bed looks really good now, and David agreed! However, my arms & shoulders are still a little sore from moving the mattress. Oh well, I got a good workout.

Return to St. Andrew

Yesterday, I had lunch with a friend in Plano. After we finished, since I was just down the street, I decided to drive over to St. Andrew. I hadn't been there since the wedding, although I had thought about going over there several times.

I opened the door to the sanctuary, turned the lights on, and slowly walked in. The sanctuary was completely empty and silent. I walked down to the front and turned around. I recalled the feelings that I had walking in, as well as what I was feeling like when we stood at the altar. I remember seeing everyone as we turned around to be announced as husband & wife and exit the church.

I also went in the bride's room and parlor. I could see myself getting dressed, talking to different people, and anticipating the big event. I remembered being totally ready, and standing in front of the five-way mirror. I looked like a bride! I felt so beautiful and was really excited about being married to David.

Now, seven months later, I still feel excited about being married to David! I'm glad I decided to visit the church. It brought back some great memories and left a smile on my face the rest of the day.
