Christmas Again!

We celebrated our Christmas with my family today. Uncle Mark and Amy were there along with Granna, Mawmaw, and Pop. I really slacked off with the picture taking so I only have a few photos but we had a really nice time celebrating Christmas and ringing in the new year.  Pop gave the boys Hokie presents this year. Paxton got a new back pack and Joshua got a bank.

Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas from our home to yours as we celebrate the birth of our Savior.
"Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is Christ the Lord." Luke 2:11

Christmas Morning

We had a leisurly Christmas morning. Paxton slept in until 9 and then we took our time opening presents. Their "big" presents this year were lego sets. Big legos for Joshua and little legos for Paxton.  They also got light sabers in their stockings as well as a few other things.

Christmas Eve

We concluded the evening last night with our traditional readings of the story of Christ's birth and Twas the Night Before Christmas.
Bryce made his telling interactive by having Paxton act out the story with his manger scene.

Christmas in Texas

We were all able to gather in San Antonio to celebrate an early Christmas.  We had Christmas morning one afternoon.  Joshua got a big present from Santa Bebe.  A stand and play car ramp. Joshua and Paxton enjoyed playing together.

Paxton's Birthday part 2

Paxton's second party on his actual birthday was at Bebe's house and was a Toy Story theme. Paxton was all ready in his Toy Story shirt when he got sick 15 minutes before his party was supposed to start and had to change his shirt as a result.   Hannah (the daughter of one of Bryce's friend's from highschool) arrived and played in the backyard with Joshua which kept her away from any potential germs.  Uncle Blake and Aunt Alli were there as well as Meemaw and Aunt Vicki.  Paxton didn't seem to feel sick so the party went on inside as scheduled.  The party was a success despite a rough start.

Paxton's Birthday part 1

Paxton got to have two birthday parties this year. The first one was a Batman theme.  Paxton wanted a Batman cake but we settled on a cake with blue icing and a Batmobile candle.  He helped me bake his cake the day before.  Granna and Mawmaw came as well as Doug and Pop.  I was a little surprised at how excited he was about the Batman pajamas I got him. He even changed into them right in the middle of opening presents.  And last but not least the much anticipated Batcave!  I can hardly believe my baby boy is four years old. He has grown up so much. We are so proud of him and love him very much.

Decorating the tree

We got our tree last weekend and had fun decorating it. Joshua was ready to help.  Paxton, on the other hand, was happy to pull up a chair and watch us work.  I think it turned out pretty well, complete with this year's family Christmas ornament.

Happy Thanksgiving!

We celebrated Thanksgiving at Granna's house. We had an impressive spread as always.  This was Joshua's second thanksgiving but the first one he participated in. He thought it was pretty good.  After dinner, we played some games and Joshua snuggled with Mawmaw.
