Dublin Family

Mawmaw didn't make the trip with Granna and Wade since Joshua had been sick the day before.  So instead we went to see her.  The boys told her about all their new toys and Taylor played with Santa.  It was good to visit Mawmaw and wish her a Merry Christmas.

Granna and Uncle Wade came to celebrate Christmas with us today.  Paxton, Joshua, and Taylor are getting used to unwrapping presents!  Taylor got a new doll and the boys got some more legos.  Paxton has had a Curious George since his third birthday but got a new George for Christmas.  Joshua and Taylor also got their own Georges.  It was a great final Christmas celebration!

Pop, Uncle Mark, and Peter came to celebrate Christmas with us today.  Taylor loves all dogs and especially Peter.  Paxton and Joshua gave Uncle Mark some angry bird lounge pants so now he and Paxton have matching PJs.  Bebe helped Taylor open her presents.  After Taylor's nap we took a walk and Taylor wore her new green coat.  Joshua was not feeling well this morning and layed low.  Fortunately he seems much better after a three hour nap this afternoon.  Bryce and Paxton have already put together some of the new lego sets.  It was a fun day!

Joshua was the first one up this morning but he patiently waited for his siblings to awake.  Taylor woke up next and then we had to wake Paxton up at 8am.  They came excitedly down the stairs to see what Santa Bebe brought.  The boys were excited with the Liar and started playing with it right away.  Taylor slipped on the stairs in all the excitement so she had to recover before checking our her princess castle.  We had a fun and relaxing Christmas opening gifts and eating brunch.  The boys even stayed in their pajamas all day.

We attended Christmas Eve service at church and then came home to a delicious meal of homemade tamales, rice, beans, and queso.  Bryce read the Christmas story from the Bible and I read Twas the Night Before Christmas before the kids headed to bed.  Then Bebe, Bryce, and I spent several hours putting together a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle sewer liar and a Disney princess castle. I can't wait to see Paxton, Joshua, and Taylor's reactions tomorrow morning!

Bebe arrived today to spend Christmas with us.  She got right to work baking a yummy pumpkin dessert.  Paxton, Joshua, and Taylor enjoyed a little coloring time while Bebe and I were working in the kitchen.

We celebrated Paxton's 7th birthday today.  We had a small family party and it was a lot of fun.  Pop was here and Granna and Mawmaw came.  Paxton requested a Curious George theme and a smiley face cake.  He had a good time and got some new fun things.  Paxton has grown up into such a sweet seven year old.  He is creative and inventive.  He is very social and loves his friends.  He is hospitable and funny.  We are so proud of our son!
