Dublin Family

One of Taylor's Christmas presents was a coupon to go boot shopping.  So today she and I went to Richmond to go boot shopping with Granna.  We started with lunch and then we hit lots of stores to find just the right boots.  We ended up with three pairs!  She got short blacks ones that are similar to mine.  She fell in love with a pair of super furry cream ones.  We also got a pair of warm, fuzzy, gray boots.  We ended the evening with dinner with Pop.

Santa Bebe sent the kids a new PS4 and Santa sent Taylor a car for her "American girl" dolls as she calls them.  Taylor was thrilled with her new car and the boys were excited to get the PS4.  As we opened presents some of us had the opportunity to practice gratitude when one of our siblings got something we wanted.  Pop and Granna came mid morning and we opened more presents.  I didn't do much for stocking stuffers this year so Joshua shopped around the house and filled all of our stockings.  Paxton got drum sticks that he had just gotten for his birthday.  I got a coke cherry zero and Mary from our nativity scene.  Bryce got Joseph.  It was really sweet and gave us all a good laugh.

Joshua, Taylor and I made Christmas cookies this morning while Bryce and Paxton went to pick out Paxton's new bike.  We had dinner before going to Christmas Eve service at church.  Then afterward we had our annual reciting of the Christmas story from Luke 2.  All three of the kids have the whole thing memorized and I have almost all of it memorized.  We ended the evening with the reading of Twas the Night Before Christmas.

After going to see the new Star Wars movie, we came home and had Christmas with Bebe.  Taylor got some new earrings, the boys got Legos, and Bryce and I got clothes.  Bebe got a new vest and some notecards with Joshua's art on them.  Christmas is off to a great start!

We celebrated Paxton's 13th birthday after the pageant today.  I cannot believe I have a teenage son!  He has a sweet nature about him and is a good friend.  He is smart and has a witty sense of humor.  He has grown so much and he loves the fact that he is taller than me.
